They did technically start in the upper bracket after all that though, which means that no team has ever won starting in the lower bracket.

This year is a fairly decent chance of finally getting a repeat winner just because there are a good number of previous winners here, although it’s a REAL stretch to say this Navi won TI, since, ya know. It’d be cool to have the last TI without a repeat winner be won by the only team who hasn’t won a TI yet, in like TI17 or something. The TI after that literally everyone has won a TI so somebody will finally get it.
