Never been to NYC but thanks to movies like Ninja Turtles I always assumed it was a disgusting hellscape full of grime, gangsters, and pizza in 1993. That video footage makes it look pretty modern and clean like today.

Oh man I totally remember this, for reasons I can't quite place. No idea if I had it or not. I remember knowing about the game "Z" because apparently some of the characters said "poo poo" once in a while or something and it was a big deal.

The economic boom in the 90s kept the momentum going until most of the social problems were pushed out of the tourist areas.

 With her and Tiffany Amber Thiessen this thread is on a roll. On a side note I still have all of the 8” action figures and all of the pieces to the megazord. My mom held on to it for my future kids and...well now that actually came in handy when visiting grandma.

It definitely cleaned up after 90's and 9/11 for various reasons social and political.
