If we're looking at 10-19 PM, the top for me is Bloodbound's latest, Twilight Force's debut, and Dire Peril's from last year. Everything you've mentioned is good to great, but those 3 are exactly my poo poo.

I've heard both, Wrathblade's first album is better than Eternal Champion's. I guess I just like my PM euro and cheesy.

gently caress yes. The vocals ruin it.

The first time I heard it was on headphones on acid, I didn't know what it was, I recognised it as war pigs but I thought the acid had transformed it into a massive modern tone.

Honestly FNM has amazing tone on that song. The vocals bite (I love Patton but not on that song).

Can't believe I only really started getting in FNM this year. gently caress they own

Cephalic Carnage "Cryptosporidium" has some hilarious subwoofer thumps. Depending on what you're listening on, they'll either sound amazing, drown out everything else, or not even register.

Nope, it's some guy who's my age that played in Jungle Rot for a minute. It's Kelly and a bunch of 20-somethings.

I think I gave myself a concussion last night headbanging to Maiden.

About 4 songs it really hurt! Never felt that before -- getting old? Lack of drink or food? Who knows - but I am ok today - what a loving show - how the gently caress are these guys still killing it like crazy when a ton of other bands their age can't perform like this. Unless I am missing the after show where they are hooked up to machines pumping rich people lifeblood into em.

i may be completely off base but something about that band just screams "complete professionalism" and not in a lame way, but in a way that lets them play as a band in perpetuity.

The only one who looked a bit gassed was Dave Murray & Adrian Smith BUT I was opposite sides to them so for all I know they could have been dancing. Steve is a monster. Janick was throwing his guitar 50 feet into the air and catching it, twirling it around like it was a little stick and not a freaking guitar. Dave was all smiles throughout - just loving ripping it up. Bruce still has the pipes too - what the hell.

Congrats on your bangover.

Much like hangovers, they get worse with age.

Random aside, took a pic last night of every pin I owned together:

Particularly fond of that DBTO pin in the upper left.

That's easy to do when your guitar's not plugged in and you don't have to worry about playing.

Saw them last year maybe for the 7th time, I poo poo you not it was probably their best performance I've ever witnessed (first time I saw em was in 2005)

Jawdropping setlist, great energy, I couldn't believe it

This is coming from someone whose favorite band in 2001 was Slipknot.

I mean, it's metal, so yeah. And, like it has all the problems that previous Slipknot records do, but goddamn does it have some killer riffs to make up for it.

Also, heard the new Tool record and... I'll admit to being a Tool fanboy back during the Ænima-Lateralus period (hell, I even memorized the alt combinations for the æ/Æ because middle-school-through-early-college me was a hopeless loving dork) and so I feel like it's difficult for me to be 100% objective wrt these 4 chumps, but if I had to define the record in one damning word, it's "stagnant".

Slipknot is releasing new material in TYOOL 2019 that doesn't feel this rotted out, Sleep released The Sciences last year and, while it's what you'd expect from a trio of stoners, it still rules real hard for a doomy/stoner metal trip. Hell, At the Gates' two post-reunion records don't feel this stagnant. Tool's new record just kinda feels like... I dunno, a wet fart of a record?
