The FIBA World Cup is underway in China. The United States is sending a group of unheralded scrubs and Boston Celtics against a bunch of chumps. Still, there are some absolute stars on the stage: MVP Giannis Antetokounmpo is playing for Greece, Nikola Jokic is playing for Serbia, Spain has Marc Gasol, Rickey Rubio and former Blazers Superstar Rudy Fernandez, and the Czech Republic has future MVP Tomas Satoransky. New Zealand did reasonably well just to qualify, it's a shame Steven Adams has bad blood with Basketball NZ from back in the day. It would be really cool if the USA had a disaster of a tournament losing three or four games and only gets bronze or something, but I would feel bad for Pop and how it would kinda tarnish his legacy (a little). That said they still have the deepest and overall most talented roster at the tournament, so they should win and if they don't it has to be on him and the coaching staff.
