I’m curious if we’re going to meet Susie’s family at some point as well. She doesn’t really bring them up at all in the first chapter but considering how she is (not to mention the fact that she seems surprised that anyone could actually like her) things probably aren’t that great at home all things considered.

They also look like a church choir robe too. So maybe Noelle’s dark world form draws that for its inspiration because Hometown is a rural religious backwater at its core and she needs something to cling to while he dad withers away thanks to cancer.

I don't know about Monster Teen, since he still doesn't have a face sprite, but I really think anyone with a unique face has a good shot.
