So, what is golgari doing for the 2-drop and 3-drop slots without explore? With Garruk and non-human synergy and the skeleton knight that recurs itself, seems like a grindy golgari midrange deck is still ok

I'm not seeing anything particularly nuts in this deck for constructed. Some expensive combos for sure, Fires of Invention + Escape to the Wilds looks doable in particular (along with any other Gruul or otherwise cards that let you play from exile instead of casting - Experimental Frenzy maybe?) Depends on how they rule cast vs. play, if they're interchangeable then it doesn't matter.

Got to level 100 with today's code, so I finally bought the mastery pass. Now I'm sitting on 20 packs from mastery pass 3400 gems (for the next mastery pass assume they don't change pricing) 48k gold 20 rare WC 12 mythic WC I think I'm ready for rotation. I'll open those 20 packs I got after I get the NPE stuff and the 10 rare ICR from renewal to take advantage of any duplicate protection.

I haven't cast an explore creature in standard in over a month.

i just had a game where I drew an island, a dimir guildgate, 3 thought erasures, vraska's contempt and wizard's retort poor other player  it did not go well for them (w/u high alert) but to their credit, they didnt concede after 3 TE, only after I Vraska'd their Teferi and then played 2 the eldest reborns

whats the history behind when dual lands are released during blocks? It kind of makes more sense to release them in sets 2 and 3 of each block like they're doing this year so that you end up with three metas that are more likely to have distinct dominant colors.

Now, it may be worth setting up a dummy account just to test your brews in the real event in case the meta changes in that period, but otherwise you've got plenty of time to test out any deck you want.

At least from my point of view, getting the mastery pass at 100 means I effectively spent 1400 gems (about $8) to get 30 packs (20 given and 10K gold) and 10 mythic ICRs. That's worth it to me as a constructed player. If you mostly care about limited, then it probably isn't worth it. I also don't know if hitting the jackpot on the reward event is worth throwing away your current account. It's only one copy of every card. You're still gonna need a lot more to make a decent deck (again, this is only if you care about constructed).

Actually if you're a limited only player you get the equivalent of 3500 gems in gems and gold combined at 100 (valuing 5000 gold as 750 gems), not including whatever gems you might get from duplicates when you open packs. If you're at 100 and have the gems, you should buy it even if you don't care about cosmetics or wildcards at all.

Can't believe someone got lucky enough with Legion's End to hit both the Krasis I had on the field and the three I had in my hand. At least I was able to swing in for lethal the next turn because that would have been backbreaking otherwise
