They're all quotes so like, you can make of them what you will. zapples asked for "receipts" and it while I personally wouldn't normally include something quite as inflammatory as the AHX think it looked like an accurate account to me, with the only possible exception being the n-word stuff that is open for interpretation. Which I pointed out and included the clip to find. You can feel Jackson's a bigot or not. But this stuff's all been out there all season and Julie wasn't making it up when she said lots of people felt this way. We can all agree that Camp Comeback was dumb as poo poo and the only possible upside CBS could have gotten from the concept was a bro getting evicted and trying to have a fight with another bro, right? Seriously, big alliance early games are the loving worst. The high school bully poo poo that usually comes out of it sucks, but it also essentially writes off 1/4-1/3 of the cast unless they get an HoH win and turns majority alliance players into passive sheep who do nothing all day and only talk to their group. Tommy - Tommy! - became a compelling guy to watch when that phase of the game was over. So the first few weeks were toxic in a way that made me stop paying attention, which almost never happens, but I'm not sure how much of it was unique to these particular assholes and how much of it was big alliance early game + Camp Comeback keeping evicted players around and giving them virtually zero in-game value.

I guess we are arguing different things because I wouldn't necessarily call someone with implicit bias a racist because than almost every person in America would be racist. I don't think Michie is consciously racist and I think with his genuine reaction on finale night (he was shocked and scared ,not defensive or angry) that hopefully he will take time to reflect on how he comes across and do work to remove more bias from his life.

This isn't the first time Jackson was told that people saw him as racist. BB gave him multiple warnings in the house and there was the Field Trip. Jackson just never actually owned that anything was actually his fault or something he had done or said, and over the last month Jackson and Holly had constructed this narrative for themselves that Gr8ful were bullies but they were the good guys who turned against Gr8ful and chose to work with "the good people." Its pure nonsense but they really convinced themselves of it. They even had spent the last few weeks repeatedly telling Nicole some bizarre version of events where they were standing up for her against Gr8ful during that bullying event. Jackson and Holly went a little crazy sequestered with each other all summer. Maybe this was enough of a shock to the system to make a bigger impact. But I think if Jackson had more ability for self reflection and humility he wouldn't be in this mess.

The one thing I'd give Jackson a pass on is the banishment. It was literally just the 3 other people who challenged him, and the only person in the house who didn't campaign to save themselves. Still a total scumbag, and I'm glad he got called out on his lovely behavior right before walking out to the confetti he was so looking forward to.

The banishment probably wouldn't have been much more than a eyebrow raising "errr?" if it hadn't been followed up with all the toxic stuff thrown at David and Kemi and the very "colorful" Camp Comeback eviction order. There was a clear pattern in that house, they were given multiple heads up about how it looked from production, but they kept refusing to address, consider, or do anything about it. Its why all the retroactive claims from people like Jackson, Holly, and Tommy that they didn't like what was happening ring hollow. I actually think they really collectively got off easy last night. Besides actual quotes if they really wanted to turn the screws they could have re-aired the Nicole/Ovi bullying incident with Tommy jumping around and everyone screaming like crazy.
