I finally got a song out for my project Vapid Koi. https://vapidkoi.bandcamp.com/track/your-piece-of-me It's a particularly important track for me because it's my first move into trying to sing with my songs. Previously nearly all my work was instrumental. Still not super happy with my voice but it's a work in progress. Hope y'all enjoy it. I'd describe it as alt rock and folk, with a drum machine thrown in for good measure haha.

I spaffed this out in the relevant metal threads, but hey, it can go here too. So this is my band, Coven of the Pestilent One, it's just me, and I put out an album on Friday, my third release, but first "full length" I guess. It's black metal, so hey, if you don't like black metal, you ain't gonna like this. On a roll lately. Another one for the album in progress. https://soundcloud.com/tom-pellegrino-146151417/near-and-far Added some lead to this one. Would love for you to check this one out. This was one of those "off the cuff" tracks that just popped in to my head and I had to lay it down. These kinds of tracks are usually some of my best work as they are already 90% in my head. Mistayke posted:On a roll lately. Another one for the album in progress. Just checked it out and again, your ability to layer many different sounds and have them all fit together perfectly is incredibly impressive. I think the only thing I was missing from this track was a little more movement / automation. It stays at relatively the same levels throughout and I felt like it could benefit from some changes in dynamics since it is over 5 mins. But that is just personal preference and overall it's great stuff. Just released a new instrumental on Spotify and other streaming platforms. I am particularly proud of this one because I played and recorded live piano, bass, and electric guitar for it. It also came together a lot quicker than most of my tracks and has inspired me to play more instruments on my tracks. https://open.spotify.com/track/7GmChNrlq8Up5c0bkEmDm9?si=z7ir7r7CQLmakvwJFaWkbQ

Layering has always been something that comes very easily to me and I like making complicated tracks. As for the cadence of the track, it's going with the theme of the album "Baking for Stoners". I am making trippy tracks that you can zone out to. Each track on this one is purpose built with my youth in mind of getting a bit high with friends and just throwing on some trippy mellow poo poo and spacing out. I had ideas for this track to take it further but I maintained control of my impulses and stuck with what it became. Edit: Your new instrumental is amazing. loving great! Just the Arcade in that one. I recorded a jam about twice as long, then chopped out the parts that sucked and arranged it for better buildups. There's a couple spots that use crossfading, but no multitracking.

Did a quick little EP recently, 5 songs 11 min. It's almost completely recorded on a lovely 4-track so it's got a nice, lo-fi, hissy, crackling, dirty basement sound to it. Then I slapped a ton of reverb on it because why not, right? It was fun to limit myself but also happy to not futz around with analog recording for the next thing. Kinda a Vampire on Titus-era GBV, Galaxie 500, Ariel Pink-ish vibe to it. https://soggy.bandcamp.com/album/omega-baby

A couple more tracks from me as well (stuff from April/May of this year, so don't yell at me baby puzzle, wrapping up the other thing today/tomorrow) Super Quantum Cat Position is part of an (eventual) EP of four songs with the same title, based on my cat and her ability to be everywhere at once. Finally had time to get into the basement and record a new track. I apparently can't make anything short or simple anymore, this drat thing is ten minutes of... electric alt-country? I have absolutely no idea how to mix or EQ or anything, and am going off of what feels right. The problem is that this does the job when I have a 4 track song, with bass, drums, and 2 guitars, but this thing had 21 tracks and it feels like its too... big? Anyway, y'all are great, thanks for enjoying my hobby with me! https://soundcloud.com/overnightmike/walk

Hot off the synths! https://soundcloud.com/tom-pellegrino-146151417/stepping-away I hope you like it. Edit: The result of a gently caress around session, just fooling around, and THIS came out that. I have to say I am really happy with the result. A few beers may have helped a little, but only to loosen me up a bit and I was in a really good mood and I think it shows. It's strange that some of my best tracks emerge from these gently caress around half drunk sessions. MrSargent, I think you'll probably really like this one.
