Aside from all of this, England have been utter dogshit apart from that nice try

Definitely should have been a yellow. Cards for everyone!

That throw was less straight than Julian Cleary.

One of the things which is interesting to do is to compare the current "confusion" around hits to the head with the same happening around tip tackles in the 2011 World Cup. Wales were caught out when Warburton was sent off but the result of the change in laws is that tip tackles are almost non-existent in the game now. This is an unalloyed good and if the same happens to contact with the head then even having England benefit in this match will have been worth it for the game. Just.tarbrush posted:Ironic that two people have been sent off for bad tackles on Owen Farrell Also, this.

I mean, he’s probably concussed from that first hit to the head

Unless you’re an Argentinian clearing a man out of the maul. Ford needs to take the second half kicks. Can’t think of a game where Farrell has been 0% at half time.

There's something deeply cheeky about playing Jump Around over the speakers while Joe Marler is hobbling off with a leg injury.

New England strategy: try to get every opposition to hit Farrell and then get a red card.

Can’t believe “waiting to see if they can punch in a fourth try” would lead to so much drama and pressure, but here we are. Very interesting call against the Samoa scrummie to award the penalty to Japan in the first place...
