I thought that, too. I don't think it's a Southern accent, but I'm not really good at classifying accents.

Yea she has Midwest style which you don't hear in American stuff loads, I think as foreign observers the American accents we hear most are north east, west and deep south and it's rare to hear other ones so she sounds really unusual.

I guess we're going to get "series 4 and series 5" split up again when it's really the start of series 3 like they did with series 2?
I wish they gave dates and stuff.

Yeah it's kinda ambiguous and that's fine. Her accent makes her more endearing for some reason.

It is impossible to sound angry with a Minnesotan accent, so all of her sinister lines sound really cheerful instead.

It’s a Washu voice from Tenchi Muyo. It’s a very distinct nasal rapid fire thing but I don’t think there’s an actual accent.

I'll let Frances McDormand break the tie: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=u4Je2WxsqWA

I looked up your Washu voice on Youtube as well and even though there are similarities, and I'm sure it's worked in there somehow, it's hard to tell the difference between it and a perpetually excited young-to-middle-aged Minnesotan woman.

Thanks. Double Trouble never showed up in the original cartoon. But she did have a figure and a few comic appearances.

Notably she is stated as being Glimmer's Cousin and the Rebellion's spy in the Horde.

That'd make sense. Could be interesting when Horde Prime shows up and his little brother hasn't even managed to maintain control of his own little empire.

Why does Horde Prime even taking notice or interest in Hordak? The only reasons I can think of are

Wants to make sure the failed clone is actually eradicated or

Hordak accidentally did something very cool or impressive after going through the portal and Horde Prime changed his mind on Hordak being a failure and wants to pick Hirdak's brain on the things he's done.

Well it seems he wants to check where he is, after getting the signal.

I've a feeling The Horde works much like the Borg. Once they get an anomalous or familiar signal from an odd place, they investigate and assimilate/exploit whatever they find there. The magic/'technology' to hide a planet in a pocket dimension would be pretty valuable to an intergalactic empire, benevolent or malevolent.

ドーナツダメ!
I was able to catch the She-Ra panel at NYCC on Sunday, and they showed the first episode there. Looks to be a pretty sweet season. For those who don't care about :siren: eps 1 spoilers :siren: in no particular order!

1. Hordak is still reeling from the lie Catra told him about Entrapta being a plant.
2. Entrapta was banished to Beast Isle, but she doesn't show up in the episode.
3. Scorpia is going through some serious cognitive dissonance regarding her relationship with Catra.
4. In fact, Catra ordered everything of Entrapta's to be tossed. Scorpia is hiding Emily so she doesn't get scrapped.
5. The episode revolves around Glimmer's coronation as the new Queen, and focuses on the heartbreak admitting that Angella is gone.
6. The season is going to have a lot of friction between Glimmer and Adora as Adora tries a little to hard to take Angella's last order to protect Glimmer to heart and inadvertently stifles her.
7. Swiftwind actually talks again, loving finally.
8. Glimmer actually doesn't have her powers in the episode because she refuses to recharge. (See point 5.)
9. She's going to get ridonco more powerful now that she's the only one tuned to the Moonstone.
10. Catra tears out the power source for Hordak's suite and forcefully takes over the Horde.
11. Her plan is to go full blitzkreig to wipe out the Resistance while they're still reeling from the loss of Angella.
12. Shadow Weaver is a "guest" at the castle now and is freely walking around with an armed escort.

Oh, and it is going to be a full 13 episodes.
