The way the scene is shot suggests Kendall. I think it’s gonna be him or Tom.

Poor Roman, no one even noticed he was held hostage or possibly even knew he had flown to Turkey. Any deal that comes out of this whole mess would probably not hold up in court as it was made under duress.

Remarkable that in a room full of pretty sharp people it was Logan who was the only one to get Greg out of the room seconds before he spread the Death Pit Knowledge virus to everyone.

Kind of odd how a bunch of rich folks working in news weren’t aware that a bunch of rich folks were being held hostage in Turkey. That sort of poo poo would have made headlines pretty drat quick.

Maybe only Pierce covers world news? Who knows.

When Rhea made that comment about how she doesn't know if Logan believes in anything at all, I thought of this SMBC strip.

I'm thinking Tom.

With Rhea out of the picture, Logan can give Shiv what he promised her: but with the price tag that she has to gently caress over her own husband. I'm thinking this is happening because Rhea is done, Shiv had a scene where she mentioned the promise that she never got, Shiv rescued the company from the whistle-blower, and Tom's testimony being so hilariously hosed. Also, after Tom's disastrous testimony Logan went over to Tom and Tom's first thought was to assure Logan that he was OK and Logan doesn't give a gently caress if Tom is OK or not: I think he was sizing him up as the fall guy. Also we got to see Bogosian and the affair guy which reinforces that Shiv is willing to play both sides if required. Now for the season finale we find out how far that goes.

Of course next Sunday I could be proven egregiously wrong in which case I guess I'll be the boar on the floor.

It would be weird for Kendall's character arc, after all he went through this season, to just end up being singled out by his father as a sacrificial lamb. Especially immediately following his big save at the hearings when Logan started to stroke out (insert Connor fist-pump here). I'd actually be disappointed from a writing perspective if this turns out to be true.

Also: "Con-heads" is not getting enough love.

I agree. It'd feel super arbitrary for Logan to go through all the work of humbling and domesticating Kendall if he was willing to jettison him over this bullshit. Also, I see Logan as being way too territorial and vain about his children to let that happen. Regardless of what he thinks about Kendall (or Shiv or Roman), I can't see him letting some randos take down any part of his dynasty over what he views as a minor controversy.

But Tom, though? I doubt Logan gives a poo poo. I'm sure he views Tom as some idiot hayseed who lucked into a seat at the table. He'd probably throw Tom to the wolves for way less.

I find Rhea`s sudden scruples hard to beleive. Elements of the media may still retain some ethics but not at the executive level. I simply don`t buy that she`s never been part of a cover up of similar or worse crimes before. It`s a bit like if Martin Bormann had turned down the chanche to be Hitler`s secretary because he just could`nt stomach all the anti-semitism. Extremely out of character.

I don't think it's so much about the cover-up itself. It's about not having all the info and getting the facts after the scandal is out. Hard to steer a company if you're not in the driver's seat.

I think there's probably a difference between what could happen in a media company vs. a cruise company that regularly covered up sex crimes/an actual death

And as someone else alluded to, it's also about how Logan held information back from her and casually lied about how connected he was to the wrongdoing. I imagine she'd already be wary about being named CEO-in-waiting immediately before a scandal dropped that triggered congressional hearings; I completely buy that she'd walk away after realizing the company wasn't just standard-order-capitalism evil

It won't be pretty if Greg gets hosed over because he has the documents he saved and likely the financial support of his grandfather for any ensuing legal battle.

Ok i get it now. She`s not morally shocked she`s worried about being held legally liable for some ticking bomb that Logan has kept quiet about. If he kept what went on at cruises from her then god knows what other horrors could be waiting under the waters. That is a reasonable concern for her to have in ligth of last episode`s events.

Yeah, talk about a cool background character. As soon as he made an appearance I assumed he was maneuvering and didn't buy his "Aw shucks I'm here to support my friends! :)" act, then the last scene confirmed it.

Also I think Tom is toast. The fact that his immediate reaction was to ask Shiv if she was loving him says a lot about their relationship, too.

I think Logan wants his kids fighting for his approval, all three of them, and so I assume all three of them are safe. That said I do think that Greg, Tom, Gerri, or Bill are all solid possibilities. Any of these characters getting thrown overboard would have cascading effects that seem to be part and parcel with how the narrative of this show operates. My money would be on Greg, since that would jeopardize a number of other character's positions and brings Logan into direct conflict with his Brother, using Greg as a bargaining chip to make the case disappear.

Yeah, I initially was going to say Connor but I think his POTUS run is too ripe for story in S3 and he hasn't been involved in Roystar anyway.

I'm taking the easy bet and going with Tom as:

  • he hilariously poo poo the bed in Congressional testimony
  • hasn't helped himself at ATN, outplayed by long-time trusted hand lady whose name I can't remember
  • Logan knows Tom is beneath Shiv, who could be heir apparent (which may change another the next week but c’est la Logan
  • He was ”responsible” for Cruises or at least destroying evidence of misdeeds
  • Selected previously for Boar on the Floor, indicating he's perceived to be disposable by Logan
  • Maximum comedy when he melts down after climbing his way up the class/professional ladder

Have a ”deadpool” with a couple of buddies who I introduced to the show - winner gets $10 from each of us via Venmo, but also has to eat a bird whole WITHOUT a napkin draped over their head.

i do kind of hate not having any insight into the immediate next steps, though. honestly, what on earth would the next steps for logan as a leader of a publicly held firm be? just stick to what his son just announced, take ownership, step down? is there actually any other possibility?

if anything, the best storytelling this show did was break kendall down so hard, you actually can imagine him doing this, in a world of otherwise completely amoral characters based on a real world where something like this would never happen due to the greed of every human involved

I definitely thought Kendall was going to admit to manslaughter. Also why else would Greg have been with him? It seemed weird that they were both sent off together but it's not like the family knew he would help turn on Logan. Did they include Greg sprinkles on the Kendall sundae?
