14 points up and only about 10 minutes of decent rugby played. Is this the most England performance ever?

I have no idea what this game is. It feels like a big match, but it seems like both teams have avoided the "let's win the hard collisions, keep it tight" talk and just thought "gently caress it!"

In a way it's a fun game. Not an entertaining game(all though I am entertained,) for technical reasons, or skill reasons, but like the teams have wanted to make it joyful. I've never seen anything like it.

It was really good strategy from england. They didn’t compete for the ball all game because of hooper and Pocock. Just let Australia run at them and trust the cover defence. Australia made loads of breaks but England always had extra players back to shut it down. Then they took chances when they got them

I think my mass effect is broken
England generally never looked too troubled that entire game. They didn’t have to do anything special, it was just basics, and Australia just couldn’t cope with the defensive pressure.

The Wallabies themselves were just terrible though. Completely unimaginative play, with endless one-off runners that were constantly getting knocked back. Honestly, I couldn’t work out what the Wallabies game plan was on attack at all.

England could only beat who was in front of them, but gently caress me if Australia didn’t make it easy.

To me it seems like Cheika's whole gameplan over the years has been just to rely on individual performance rather than a team effort. Hopefully he's shown the door.

Australia seemed to make decent ground running at the England centres, who had a relatively quiet game and Slade looked a bit shaky in defence at times but the bizarre plan to play from their 22 instead of just clearing and pressuring the lineout was insane.
