Love it when props go nuts over crushing it in a scrum

Japan, beating the saffa scrum. Offloading like bastards, running every goddamn line. Bloody hell

I am going to enjoy the All Blacks v Japan final however.

If all Japan's forward passes were called up they'd be looking a little less impressive.

Got to admire how Japan take territory with phase play rather than just booting up the field.

De Klerk is going to pick up a yellow at some point for persistent infringement, or would if Barnes did offsides

If they’re always offside your passes have to be forward and if the passes are always forward you have to be offside

House rules for this game is that Dr Klerk is allowed to be offside and Japan are allowed to throw every third pass forward.

E: it's fun though so I'm not complaining

SA need to slow poo poo down when they get possession. These no look flick passes off the turnover are a liability and are playing into Japans game.

Ogres are like onions
Saffer forwards are monsters on defence, every time they make a tackle they're pushing Japan back a metre or two it feels like

Yeah Japan have possession but they are struggling to make any ground with it.

If I was Japanese I'd be really happy if the first half ended 5-3 to South Africa.

SA are never going to concede lots of tries against Japan, so the closer the score is and the less time left on the game the more chance for some crazy silky smooth Japanese break that just puts them over the line.

It's not a great outcome. The possession and territory alone should have won them 9 points by now.
