I didn't notice that GosT had another album out this year, and, I dunno I'm kind of vexed by GosT. Anything he does that's synthy is the kind of synth I really like, just really warm, filthy noise. And then lately he'll throw a few tracks of the weirdest screamiest shrieky metal songs that go nowhere and do nothing for me. It's almost the kind of thing that maybe should be done under a different name or altogether somewhere

I adored Possessor as this amazing and menacing fusion of synthwave, black/doom metal, and even 80s goth, but the new album is just too much like conventional metal for me. Oh well, there's still literally everything else he's made.

Yeah the new one by him did nothing for me, apparently it's gone from one guy to two guys making the music? Agree that having this album under a different artist would have made sense to me, I can see a bit of progression to this style with parts of Possessor but definitely going for a different audience than his first two albums at least.

Kinda deflated the gunship dark all day album for me too, having three of the most unique songs off the album as way early singles. Of the songs left, too many were underwhelming or not my cup of tea, so the album release felt kinda weak after the hype. It's a fine album, just well short of their first. Listened to the first half of the new magic sword...they really like that daft punk kinda sound don't they? It's cool, just didn't blow my mind. Colossus is still the best track.

So Power Glove dropped that "Throwback" EP. The good: Hunters is finally out in some official form! So is Vengeance! The bad: THEY TOOK OUT THE COOL INTRO FROM VENGEANCE, THE FUCKERS e: also, I'm really, really not feeling the new Magic Sword. the disco thing is cool in theory but clashes with basically everything I liked about their previous sound.  Colossus is a rad loving track and I like Reborn okay enough, but Awakening just outright sucks rear end and I'm not really feeling Lady of Light at all, and the rest of the album is literal filler.
