Mookie tends to like his noble savage Orcs and he also had a pretty huge Madonna-Whore dichotomy in DD. As much as the man loves big anime tiddies, the characters in DD who were stacked tended to be villains. I think that musclegirl friend of theirs and that one student of Dominic’s were the only exceptions. What I am saying is I totally would not be surprised if NotBayonetta is actually evil and our Orc here is actually good.

I feel like the nudity would be less jarring if he just made snout a nudist As it is it just pops up out of nowhere for no reason and feels totally out of place. The nudity isn't a political statement, it's not an aesthetic examination of the human body, and it serves no plot point. It's not even doing a good job of normalizing nude bodies because it comes up so rarely, and Mookie calls it out each time.

Oh, it also took place in a kind of wild, formless land, but that was a central part of the narrative (from what I vaguely remember) and not just cheap set dressing. Edit: here's the only evidence I can find of it still online:  I'm glad that Spike has found success publishing, but I really wish she'd go back and finish Templar, Arizona

Dominic Deegan ripped off Fullmetal Alchemist HARD at the end. There were so many story elements borrowed and it was so close to the second anime’s North American run that most writers would never think they’d get away with it. I don’t think he ripped off Sparkneedle just because I don’t think he’s ever heard of it. I can’t recall him ever overtly referencing other webcomics in OG DD, and I bet they just don’t pique his interest like cape comics and anime do.

Yeah, nothing else about it is similar other than those elements (nudity, no dialogue, the setting) so I doubt it too, but it's just a funny coincidence. Also Sparkneedle committed to all three of those things WAY harder than this one does. Amusing that Mookie thinks his casual nudity is some big deal when Spike has made a business out of publishing full-on porn comics...
