I liked the beginning and the premise but I thought the execution was very mediocre, and the music didn't do anything for me, at all, it was like a colossal waste of decent motiffs. Just to be fair and not compare it with Disney golden age musicals, I'll just say that I had more fun listening to Descendants' soundtrack. But idk. I think my opinion of these 3D movies tend to be somewhat contrarian. I thought Tangled had a worse premise and was interesting to watch (not great) and Zootopia I only heard bad things was a movie I found absolutely delightful despite its flaws. So if you're the kind of person who disagrees with me on both accounts and somehow haven't watched Frozen yet, this might be a perfect movie for you. Ultimately my problem with this movie is that the first arc, whose idea and characters were most interesting to me (and essentially an X-Men's Rogue in a fantasy setting), and I even really liked the characters there, was just so boring despite how much I liked the premise. Then the middle arc is extremely generic after the one twist, and the final arc is a complete, generic, boring mess. Really wanted to like it, but alas, I don't. Maybe Frozen 2. 2.5/5
