the kengan series(es) are so good i would buy them in physical media form if they were licensed, although i'd probably be disappointed that the legal TL isn't as good as the Hokuto no Gun versions

Today I had the chance to watch a couple of episodes of the Kengan Ashura anime on Netflix, godamn the animation is even more garbage than I thought it would be, this manga don't deserves this.

Honestly, I prefer the cheap looking 3d over what cheap looking traditional style animation would wind up looking like. The fights really capture the choreography of the manga very well because the 3d is easier to work with and I think the show is at its best in the fight scenes, a lot of which I was pretty happy with. I'm definitely in the minority though. The show definitely deserved more though.

for what i watched of it, the anime cut pretty much all of the hanging out in favor of more fights. it's really not my thing, and likely wouldn't be even if the animation was less ugly.
