I have to admit that Don Rosa copyrighting his own name so Disney/Gemstone couldn't use it to advertise without paying him is a masterstroke.

Book I've got says this is the first of the nephews, Oct. 17, 1937: Dear Donald: I am sending your angel nephews, Louie, Huey and Dewey, to stay with you while their father is in the hospital. A giant firecracker exploded under his chair. The little darlings are so playful. I hope you enjoy them Your cousin, Della

When was it determined that Donald spoke in almost unintelligible duck sounds? The old comics don't seem to write him any differently than everyone else.

Well that doesn't make sense at all. If they're the children of his cousin, then the kids are his cousins, not his nephews. e: Wait, he refers to her as "Aunt Della" when speaking to the boys. Maybe the woman sending them to him is not their mother after all? Telegnostic has a new favorite as of 23:57 on Dec 31, 2019 |

Howard the Duck. That's the duck the folks on the street love and crave. Scrooge McDuck is Howard the Duck's tulpa. edit- also, tulpas and stands are interchangeable and fundamentally the same idea

IIRC it's actually a pretty good mockery of Nazism give it ends with Donald in a growing nightmare where he's constantly expected to heil to the point where he can't do his job while also running on fewer and fewer resources, which if anything is an understatement as to how bad Nazi Germany's industrial production was.
