The climactic episodes of very self-serious but very bad shows are generally hilarious, in the same way that bad slasher movies are. Though this is true across all mediums really.

Monthly Girls' Nozaki-kun is also very good IMO.

I'm over here worried about recommending Nichijou because I feel like most goons that don't watch anime and are mildly curious about it take any mildly odd situation- like a bunch of dogs crossing the street with a goat- as the show being obnoxiously random, so how could I suggest extremely hyperbolic over the top show Nichijou?

It's pretty good and the OP is great. The original mangaka also did a fantastic autobiographical manga, blank canvas, that i really recommend.

I'm personally a bigger fan of Daily Lives of High School Boys, but that one gif is probably my favorite moment between the two.

Berserk ended when they got on the boat.

Then it ended when they got off the boat. And again when they got off the boat again. Then when a twenty year plot arc resolved.

Basically berserk is just constantly ending, because at any moment it might just never update ever again as the latest hiatus just slowly becomes permanent so you gotta be prepared for the reality that any given chapter might be its last.

Theres currently 967 chapters of one piece. Each chapter is about 20-25 pages so lets average it at 23. Even if you assume a page only takes two hours and dont count title pages and stuff, dudes spent literally five years of real time drawing one piece. This also wouldnt include stuff like 'planning out the plot' 'designs for movies/games' 'promotional art' and so on.

"wich the worst part was what troll face did to sonic's corpse after words wich was rape it. at that point i looked away"

Hey all! I run a small Leftube/Bredtube channel and just uploaded my longest and most thorough video yet;

"You couldn't make Blazing Saddles today!"

The video is an exploration of exactly why Blazing Saddles was such a disruptive film and why the phrase "you couldn't make Blazing Saddles today" is devoid of any actual meaning. It also goes into modern day media censorship and compares the power held by groups online versus institutions and advertisers.

Unfortunately it got copyright claimed to hell, and when all those claims were finall sorted Youtube auto-published it at a pretty crummy time of day and also the same day Contra dropped her latest. Any advice/comments/subs/shares would be appreciated and any signal boosts greatly so. I hope y'all enjoy this as I'm really proud of it.

I know there were anime I've laughed at like I would for a stand up comic's routine; vs being amusing or eliciting a sensible chuckle but it escapes my mind currently which one(s). I know its happened but I can't remember because my memory is poo poo.

I'm watching the Contrapoints video, my only comment is that I still find her brief out of character moments where she suddenly makes herself laugh or is genuinely baffled still funny.

Another category of manga/anime I find interesting are animangas that ostensibly feel like isekai's but... surprisingly aren't? Kusuriya no Hitorigoto is really good. It's about a girl named Maomao in what I assume is ancient China but has enough of the serial numbers filed off where it could be an alternate history or parallel world or just a Chinese themed fantasy setting. Maomao herself feels fairly modern in her attitudes and observations so its a setting where you easily could have had an isekai, but it explicitly as far as I can know it isn't one.

The manga is about her having Sherlock Holmes style mysteries where she uses her intense knowledge of poisons and herbal medicines to unravel murder mysteries that result from court political plottings and schemes.

Much like Sherlock Holmes she has a crippling addiction to drugs, except the drugs are ingesting poisons which she has a very high tolerance towards; which SOUNDS like a isekai cheat skill but she built up that immunity over a very long time being a apothecary.

Let me tell you about a manga called Bastard which started in the mid 80's and is also still going. The last chronological chapter came out several years ago. In the mean the guy decided to redraw his old work from the 80's, got bored and quit doing that halfway through. Now he's drawing porn of his work and doing commissions.

Its basically Hell, is what I'm saying.
