Beerchat: any West Australians who aren't all over Wilson brewery need to get on it. Their Lighthouse Session Ale is a fantastic mid strength and their Rough Seas Pale Ale is legit one of the best beers I've had, at 5.8% too

Hard to say, really. The fact that the review found several issues which had apparently not been noticed by the top people at the club, but the top people at the club are all still there, is obviously concerning. If those people had managed to overlook issues which an external review found in a matter of weeks, why are they still around?

Rob Chapman is leaving at the end of 2020, so that's one of those people gone, and arguably the key person still remaining who shouldn't be.

Even that is kind of weird, though. He's stated that he is the best person to stay in the role going forward (which, really? You oversaw the club to the point that it had enough problems to warrant an external review to tell you how to fix it, not to mention overseeing the Tippett saga), but he's not actually going to stay in the role going forward, just for the next year or so. If he's going to move on that soon, why not just do it now when we're in the midst of making a clean break from our past issues? Hopefully we're just treating it as an opportunity to target a quality replacement over the course of twelve months.

That sort of statement is usually more a face saving exercise than based on what anyone in the organisation considers to be factual. The club doesn’t look as much like they’ve had a dud at the helm for the entire time and the ceo doesn’t look as much like he hosed everything up.
