Wait until you wreck the wagon on a delivery, and it spawns your salvagable goods underground in Valentine.

Working on making a mass-completion of all* the collectibles - 10 full sets of each collection, might take a while. Be a nice payout, though.

I can keep selling Chocolate Daisies for dailys, because there's a bunch of those available, and whatever Antique Alcohols I keep looting from corpses I can drink, for *those* dailys.

I'd avoid doing Trader stuff until they fix the stupid animal spawn problem, which may have the window of next week to never. Bootlegger is Trader but with half the effort and you don't have to rely on animal spawns or Crips working properly.

And the added benefit of getting poo poo-faced drunk with the drunk text prompts!

Uh, half the effort just doesn't sound right. Driving the wagon carefully to not smash your bottles is a pain in the rear end, moonshiner missions / deliveries are usually more difficult and risky than resupplies / trader deliveries and before you get the full set of equipment the payouts are lovely for the time involved.

At "max level" trader earns a little less than moonshiner (like 180$/hour vs 200-220$/hour) but moonshiner is way more involved - which can be a good thing or a bad thing, of course.

Not sure about the horse... my opening move for bounties is to go into dead eye and shoot any unmounted horses in the rear end to make them run away and mounted horses in the head to drop them before switching to the bow and tagging the targets

TorakFade posted:

I just switch the camera to cinema mode and let the wagon drive itself until I get to the roadblock and see how that interaction works out, as long as you don’t have to shoot at anyone let it auto drive the route and go as fast as you want.

1) Private servers with nothing disabled or locked out like GTA Online did
2) Low population servers

moonshiner is click a button and deliver a wagon once every hour, trader you have to hunt a million animals (if they're even spawning) and do exactly one thousand resupplies to get a full wagon

i spend all my time between moonshine deliveries just hunting animals for cripps

Running moonshiner missions is how i find most of the animals i feed Crips, usually when I run into some wolves traipsing my way to start a bar fight.

Man, I iwsh *I* could get bar fight quests. Maggie only gives me "kill revenooers" (7 out of 10 times), "escort drunkie" (2/10) and "bust up competitors" (a whopping once).

Then again on the runs, I've been inspected less than half the time, and only once got busted. (Well, "busted" as in "they found the hooch" and I just rolled out of there without anyone shooting. :ninja:)

I've had about 2/3rds infinite-loads or outright disconnects/CTDs to 1/3rd functional *missions*, not just runs.

I think the programmers been sampling the product, mahself.

Flavoring moonshine needs you to collect ingredients which can be time consuming or expensive, and I kinda hate the fact that buyers can change before you finish a batch. My problem is probably that I am just starting out and paying 10-30$ for mash to make 70-80$ worth of moonshine (assuming you flavor it and buyers don't change in the meantime and you don't damage the shipment) in 30 minutes sucks. I can do quite a lot of hunting in that time assuming spawns work. To get to the point where you can make proper money you need to invest time in missions/deliveries that basically don't pay out until you're high level and fork out 1700$ which is definitely not trivial.

I checked trader details and it's 1375$ for the necessary equipment (medium and large wagon), 4 resupplies and 200 materials to make 100 goods from scratch (which takes 200 minutes), some resupply missions give 20 materials and some give just 5. A perfect buck gives 12 materials, a perfect deer 8. With a bit of luck, hunting 10-15 perfect bucks/deer and making 4 resupplies with a 20 materials reward will max your goods. You don't have to pay a dime for it, too.

So it's actually pretty similar except that I actually enjoy hunting while I don't really care about the basic moonshiner missions (story ones are cool and I wish the other roles had them too)... As said I find trader a lot more passive because I am hunting animals for fun anyway, I just have to stop by in camp and donate, resupply if needed - usually takes 5-10 minutes - and deliver if storage is full after 3 hours or so without worrying too much about damaging stuff... while I have to actively start most moonshine things and pay attention to timers, find or buy ingredients for every batch, and mind the road for rocks or sharp turns and so on. Probably just personal preference and things might change once I get to higher moonshiner rank :)

yeah the initial investment in moonshine is rough as hell

i found trader real tedious when i was starting out but now that i don't need to aggressively farm xp or cash it's pretty chill and hunting is fun when there are spawns

there's a semi-reliable cougar spawn at night near beecher's hope which fills up a massive chunk of the bar if you get a perfect carcass

Technically I don’t think gtao ever did this, people just figured out a way to gently caress with public sessions so that nobody else could join. Private sessions still don’t let you do ceo/motorcycle club stuff afaik

I do feel like they could fix rdo by just lowering the population cap until they figure out wtf is going wrong though

Yeah that was the problem with GTAO, if you wanted a quiet server for you and your friends you had to use something like Session Sweeper.

Working on a new guide. This one is going to cover dailies and hopefully make them easier by not requiring you to go through a bunch of youtube videos and reddit posts/meltdowns to find out the specifics.

Here's the big version of a map of the states I put together for it.

It's going to serve as part of a legend for some of the images. Plus I've always wanted a better visualization of the state boundaries.

Fun fact about the ginseng garden: it's bugged. So sometimes you'll only need to gather two of them to get 5/5. Other times you'll gather all of them and be stuck at 4/5 but luckily ginseng is easy to spot in the wild because it tends to be a solo plant that isn't surrounded by anything.

Do the roles like Trader give you enough of the blue tokens to unlock everything eventually? Is there any reason to save the tokens? Like I was wondering if its worth it to save for the medium wagon or just wait for the large one, and save a couple tokens.
