Astolfo avatars are a complete coinflip. Is it a queer trans anarchist? Is it a creepy chaser CHUD? Who knows? You can't even tell by the kind of avatar either. Beanstolfo, fanartstolfo, hornyfanartstolfo, straight up pornstolfo. It's all a mystery. Astolfo.

Every single person I've met with an Astolfo avatar has been a channer type obsessed with fetishizing "Traps". So that might've colored my entire stance on that character as a whole. Anyway, I don't think I've seen this guy posted here before but AmbiguousAmphibian does fun and themed playthroughs of Kenshi and Rimworld, and while they're not as narratively cool as Kruggsmash's stuff some people might be interested in seeing that. I've enjoyed both of his Kenshi playthroughs lately, and his newest "evil" themed videos of Rimworld.

A big flaming stink posted:Wait melty blood is also in the fate series? Melty Blood is Tsukihime, which is connected to Fate by whatever they decide connects it. Basically, Arcueid is featured as a Servant in Fate/Extra, and when she loses, she tears a whole in space-time and just leaves the universe. There may or may not be an explanation involving the Moon Cell as to why she's there or if that's even the same Arcueid. Despite her role in Extra, she is probably the only canon Servant not featured in Fate Grand/Order, which makes her inclusion as part of the recent Fate anniversary all the more baffling. There is also Kara no Kyoukai, which has been represented in both by way of Ryougi Shiki being in both Melty and FGO. On a related note, Under Night In-Birth features a Tsukihime character, Sion, under the name Eltnum.

imo Shiki Ryogi is the wokest nb representation in the collected works of Kinoko Nasu but I'm glad Astolfo exists for people who like wearing skirts. There's like several more examples I know absolutely nothing about though so maybe something tops them

Did Joseph Anderson ever do a video about nier automata or did he decide not to? He's mentioned that he wanted to do a breakdown or review on it in some of the stream archives I've watched of his, but I can't seem to find it anywhere.

Endorph posted:this is a good metaphor because if you actually just sat down and watched the namek arc itd be the most straightforward thing in the world. krillin and gohan want the dragon balls, vegeta wants the dragon balls, freiza and his goons want the dragon balls, everyone wants to fight each other over it. like there's a 100000 word article on the namekians on the dbz wiki but all you need to understand to follow the namek arc of dbz is that they're good aliens who are being murdered by evil aliens so the big evil alien can summon a genie.

if I wanted to I could make Discworld sound INSANELY complicated. a lot of this "it's so complicated" stuff comes up because the evangelizers are the kind of people that spend a good portion of their time editing the fan wiki, so they are incapable of explaining anything in a coherent way. I used to live with a person that loved the Fate series, and to save his life he could not adequately explain it. I proceeded to look online and found a coherent, plain English summary of the series. and I was like ....why didn't they just say THAT???? there's a difference between "has lots of extraneous lore" and "very complex, interwoven plot" but it's not a distinction nerds seem to comprehend.
