Won the dumb podium car like everybody else, only took 9 quick disconnects! It's a marginal improvement over the Vagner, the last supercar I bothered getting. Glad I skipped like 20 in the interim. Also glad Broughy1322 kept updating his Vehicle Rankings. Took 'er into some pub races and sure enough won almost every race. edit: Then joined a Casino heist finale without knowing what to do really and got almost all the take 1st try. Emerus has been on top of the Super class for a while, but it's not up-to-date. The Imorgon has been live for a while, followed by (roughly in order) the Komoda, Furia, Vagrant, Sultan Classic, and Everon. Also it doesn't account for being able to toss turbos onto electric vehicles via iFruit

If you unplug ethernet, turn off wifi, or just disable your network connection, it will kick you back to single player allowing you to quickly reconnect it, log back into social club and boot up online. Turn your spawn location to Penthouse or Last Location to get into the casino as quick as possible and load into Invite or Crew Only for negligible load times. It takes me ~2 minutes in-between spins, providing something like 20+ chances in an hour while watching a show on my other monitor. You can also repeatedly get your daily 1k chips or convert $50k cash to chips from the chip exchanger lady this way.

That's why I've got my mouse hovering over "end task" and use my controller to spin the wheel  Speaking of which, at least with a controller, you can push up first for a harder spin. (I've got bad luck with disabling internet connections, they like not re-enabling)

I found consistency with a quick and dirty internet disconnect script I made, something I haven't needed for a game before. Works for Windows 10. Requires autohotkey and a little specific setup, but cut down a bit on the turnaround time because I don't have to quit the game. Uses 5 files and could definitely be improved upon.

That's really funny, my disconnect script is the same. Except instead of running the .bats, I run shortcuts to them because autohotkey apparently can't run in admin mode, but shortcuts can have the admin property.

so far my experience with the oppressor has been absolutely decimating street lights and enemies with extreme prejudice. leaving a trail of mutilated bodies of both blown up bodies and myself ground into paste from 140mph flying motorcycle streetlight accidents

Hopefully it's just a queued thing and you'll get it, wonder how many people are logging in for it. I haven't played in a long time but I was a little bit surprised at how populated my sessions have been, it actually got pretty annoying for a little bit running CEO missions yesterday!

rockstar said it's gonna take longer than expected for a bunch of people because their servers are being hammered. makes sense given the steam sale on gta5 for such an event. the very large amount of people logging in and out repeatedly for the oppressor probably isn't helping. social club keeps going down from all of this, so im already expecting mine to take awhile

I just boughtr GTAV on sale for the ps4 (had it before for the ps3) and I really want to like the online. There are some really fun and creative games modes, but man, I just can't deal with all the waiting and load times. load the world. Find a game. Load into the game. Sit in the lobby for a while until the game starts. Load the game. Play for a little while. Match ends. Load back into game.

load game (takes forever because you either have a slowpoke console or the atrocious launcher dragging everything down on PCs nowadays) load online (takes forever because you can't tell the game to load into an invite-only or singleplayer instance at this point so it loads 16 players, or tries to) time out, get booted to singleplayer load singleplayer load online (limited session so it loads faster) select job load job sorry job is full dumped into random lobby again, slowly time out go to singleplayer load invite-only session join heist 1/4 player disconnect get dumped into random lobby that never loads One of the most profitable video games on the planet and this is how they managed to hook players on shark cards for 5+ years, I don't understand people anymore.

Join missions/heists on-call using your phone, works pretty good. Lets you mess around in your session until the host launches and THEN you join their game.

Just go to to Quick Job function on your phone, pick whatever mode you wanna play. The game will try to find a lobby, then populate it, then pull you out of your game when it launches.

I've been playing a bit in the last few weeks for the free money promotion and I have to admit I've been consistently surprised by how chill and friendly most of the PC lobbies have been. I used to reflexively load into invite only sessions but I pretty much just play public now and it's never really an issue.

Having said that if you've successfully broken free of the urge to play an online multiplayer game, by God take it. god, if any modders read this thread, please PM me if you're willing to remove my weapons. a hacker had the galaxy brain idea to give me every weapon when i was in an otherwise empty lobby even though im above level 120, meaning i have every weapon i already need but now have weapons i never bought and don't need. they don't even show up in the menu to buy ammo and I can't put them in my gun locker. i couldn't even use the weapons in that lobby since he put a giant ramp on me which made me unable to accurately aim weapons since i couldn't see. I've tried doing the workaround rockstar suggested of draining all my ammo for those types then doing a job, but it was better at draining 45k from me than helping me. spelling Literal Nazi Furry fucked around with this message at 21:37 on Feb 10, 2020 |

Ok fine I did get into 2 heists, the hard one I blew instantly & another one where the pilot crashed into the ground a minute after they got their plane, after my teammate with the armored ..K whatever car left me in a rush from the start. Which happened in the other heist too. Love a player base who don't even pause for an instant in a team situation  I was really trying to relax and I got nothing but a mountain of poo poo for it. Like I said I don't know anyone else who plays this and I am too much of an rear end in a top hat to do much about that so...yeah. I simply need to vent about how awful it was I guess.
