It was a question about the pins merch, and if the limited one comes as a set or just the limited. He said he had no idea but called me a homie and tbh it was epic.

Seth not liking Good Time was a big surprise for me. Seemed straight up his alley; a movie set in the modern day about a realistic scumbag doing believable things.

I 100% believe it's because it stars someone that Seth has decided he doesn't like.

I got my brother into UYD over vacation in December. I'm proud to say he's dove right in and is loving Seth. I've been feeding him good episodes.

Any decent recs for the newbie?

If you listen to loads of episodes in a row you start to notice weird things.

Seth describes pretty much everything as "beautiful". Once you notice this you can never un notice it.

This Netflix for rich recluses thing that Jah and Seth talk about in 769 sounds completely insane and if anyone else told me about it I would assume they were joking. They need $45M in funding BEFORE they can charge people thousands of dollars to watch movies.

It's always funny when Seth gets his world view challenged a little bit. There was a story years ago where an elderly guy who was buying books for his Grandkids was escorted out of the kids section of a bookstore because he was alone. Seth immediately jumps on it to talk about how what did he expect, you see some old guy in the kids section and what else are you going to think. Jah jumped in immediately and was like what, no, I would just assume he's there to pick up books for some kids. And if you are that concerned about it just keep an eye on him and it derails Seth's whole bit.

He's a weird dude and I think being friends with him would be a little infuriating sometimes. Obviously the comedy is in a lot of the exaggeration, but I don't think the things he says are all that much removed from his own views at times.

That was all I could pull searching "Uhh Yeah Dude" and "Gun range," on my lunch break at least.

We gotta bring back Weck's Wiki, crowdsource the thing.

EDIT: Episode 237, 33:26. Thank you Wayback Machine. And to the person looking for the "Jonathan gets busted with mushrooms" story, it's episode 238, 25:17.

Jah definitely wanted to ask if a human and a non-human primate have hosed in this episode but knew that people would blow him up on the hotline if he did and wisely showed some restraint.

Also the scientific term for what he was trying to say is hybridization, and it does exist but IIRC it's most commonly found in plants. Mules I think are the most well-known example in animals (a donkey-horse hybrid).

I'm also working through the backlog and the last few months were very good. Especially Seth's rant(s) about Dos Hermanos Mezcal [761], oh my goodness.
