The creators hand Quibi two formats, one vertical and one horizontal and Quibi "stitches" them together with one seamless audio track. Then its encoded to switch between the two. Id assume theyre almost all done manually, unless shot otherwise. A lot of my clients have me reformat IG grid videos for IG stories and its a bit tedious, but Im assuming the editors working on Quibi stuff have a pretty solid workflow established to make it less tedious.
