Stephen King is absolutely a hack but goddamn do I love his writing regardless (or perhaps because of it), and he's a gently caress sight better than Tom Clancy who as far as I know was like the only author who could really match up to King's ability to penetrate into into the world of people who typically don't read much of anything (maybe John Grisham too?). That said, while I enjoyed Wizard and Glass goddamn did the Dark Tower series go off a loving cliff after that. He's said himself that he was putting off the last three books because he was paralyzed with fear that he wouldn't be able to finish what he started, then he got run over by that dog-driven van and realized if he didn't write it now it would NEVER get written so he pumped out the last three books crazy fast and the sheer drop in quality is extremely apparent. Still it could be worse, he could be Dean Koontz. Lid posted:The Shawshank Redemption Great book, even better movie

The Thing Mad Max: Fury Road Alien Blade Runner Halloween Die Hard It’s pretty cool when things blow up or poo poo goes crazy but you’re not a total rear end in a top hat about it, I guess is my bias.
