If you have a Hard Wired/BTSU build like me, I watched a video by JETT4TH about making it *probably* still be good next week.

tl;dr is that you want one Wyvern holster, kneepads, or mask because Wyvern will be changed to have 10% skill dmg, 10% status effects, 15% skill duration. You'll want backpack and chest to be Hard Wired pieces because those will have enhancing talents.
That's based on the stuff from the SotG videos and anything can change but this seems to be the way to go.

Related to this, will any recalibrated gear get reset ? Will we get refunded the recalibration costs? They did this at least once in TD1.

i don't remember saying so. likely it won't except for any changed talents like DTE will just change to whatever they choose to convert those to

Will there be a way of upgrading old exotics to level 40? Because I’ve been lucky enough to get both BTSU gloves and merciless to drop this week, and diamondback from the college. It would suck to have to get them all over again.

not at launch, they want you to grind for a while. so save one of each, dismantle any extras for exotic components which you'll need for crafting

nil.
Nov 11, 2012

I did it by doing a mission on story difficulty (like the very first hotel mission) and throwing a grenade at a cluster of enemies before they have seen me. If that is the case, they will usually not react quickly enough to run away from the grenades. Then I just aborted and repeated the mission until that challenge was done.

Before, I had the same problem as you did - in open combat, enemies just run away from grenades too often.

I just did this recently and found chucking a nade into patrols in the overworld and then shooting people to keep them stunned while in the blast area helped. It is a lot harder to do in missions due to the way enemies are scattered.

Edit: WELL who you gonna believe?! That's what I get for replying without refreshing.

Yeah you can kind of manipulate their reaction order by throwing a nade, shooting gun and then boom! Doesn't seem to work all the time but it's been the easiest way to get multikills with them.

I open pretty much every combat in a grenade multi kill. Wait until reds patrol close together and throw one to no reaction from them until a half-second before the blast. Within combat they just won’t get behind cover close enough to eachother to pull it off unless you have very sparse cover or you timed a spawn manhole just right.

you can easily cheese those multikills by restarting grand washington hotel. There's a trio of red hyenas that always pop up from the same spot. go for normal difficulty and equip any chest with mad bomber and you're set.

They're tied to the specializations. Each one has a unique grenade that you unlock by buying the associated perk in that specialization's tree. Gunner has a riot foam grenade, technician has an EMP grenade, Survivalist has incendiary, etc.

Until you finish the level 1-30 story and unlock specializations in World Tier 1 you’ll only have regular grenades. Each specialization has its own unique grenade in addition to regular grenades but you have to switch between them in your inventory menu, not on the fly.

Without seeing the new weapon talents and the rolls on Striker, it's hard to say. In TD1, you wanted nothing in electronics, just enough FA to trigger your weapon talents, and dump the rest into STA.

I'd say weapon talents are secondary to ensuring you have a weapon that's stable and accurate enough to consistently build stacks. As far as attributes go, it's an offensive gearset so it should be a straightforward gun-focused set. You'll want to hit the CHC cap, max out the available weapon damage on your gear, and then get as much armor as you can. You'll want the Striker chest and backpack over high end pieces regardless of what gear talents we get now, I think.

That's not what gaslighting means you hyperbolic dipshit.
I remember hearing that if you sell or dismantle armor pieces with mods on it, you lose those mods. They disappear from your inventory and are just gone. This different from weapon mods, which are not "spendable" items.

Is this still the case?

That’s how it was with the Classified Striker set with its health regeneration bonus but while Division 2 Striker is slightly different it is pretty much the regular Striker set, which only had the weapon damage stacks. That was more flexible is how you could apply it without losing the entire point of using it in the first place.

That said which core attributes are on which armor pieces will mostly determine what you can do with Division 2 Striker.

gotta keep in mind that Gear sets will have one less attribute roll than regular pieces, so that's another thing that needs to be taken into consideration

and you can recalibrate core attributes so colors don't really matter

Oh? I’ve been assuming they were going to be fixed because otherwise what would be the point of only giving certain cores to certain brands/models.

Because the minigun is weaker than just using your primary and leaves you completely exposed while firing.

they're not fixed, they're just not random. A brand will always roll one core color.

And to reinforce my point here, keep your GS500 gear mods and skill mods:

Only SSE 4.2 matters. I have a Xeon X5690 and it ran fine for a couple of hours last night. The only people I noticed complaining about it were running AMD Phenoms, which lack both.
