Bitcoin gives me a purpose in life (self.Bitcoin) submitted 18 hours ago by Zaidinator7 Honestly my social life is pretty much non existent and I feel like I'd be very bored without bitcoin. I've spent so much time reading stuff and watching videos of bitcoin and it always kept me entertained and interested. It's something to look forward to in the future as adoption increases. Without it, I think I'd find life sort of mediocre and a bit pointless (not depressed). beowulfpt 7 points 10 hours ago* I see your point. I started years ago and it became a hobby then a form of study. Now it feels almost as some sort of part-time job or as if I'm taking a degree on it. Also helped find some interest/purpose that I haven't felt since the initial days of the internet in 1990. A "this is going to be big - I should learn more" spark. Before that life was a bit Meh, dull on autopilot, lacking purpose, with a few interest topics to learn here and there but nothing that felt really a once-in-a-generation opportunity. Going well so far, always more to learn and read/watch/listen. Let's see what the next decade brings - I'm pretty curious about that. saladfingers6 11 points 16 hours ago Yes. Bitcoin is like a religious movement. Meet other bitcoiners and you're instant friends. Like an community or movement it creates that feeling of belonging. Bitcoin is like a cult and I am loving it. I have met so many new friends that are working towards the same goal, and no-coiners aren't my true friends anymore!

Mark_Bear -1 points 2 hours ago Here's my observation: Most people are broke or beyond broke. Let's now explore some of the ramifications of this simple fact. Those people have very little, if any cash. They have to put everything on credit: their home, their vehicles, furniture, appliances, clothing, food, entertainment... Therefore, they have no way to pay for Bitcoin. Most people, especially broke people living off credit, want people to think they are doing well. They drive cars they can't really afford, live in homes they can't really afford... They NEVER say, "I'm broke, I can't afford it." Instead, they make poo poo up. For example, they'll say, "Bitcoin is a scam." That translates to, "I have no cash to buy Bitcoin, I'm so jealous of you... you're going to be incredibly wealthy someday and I'll just keep circling the drain of debt..." Or, they'll say that Bitcoin is too volatile. Bitcoin isn't backed by anything. Bitcoin isn't a "real" currency. Bitcoin is only good for criminals. And so on. When they lose their home, they don't say, "Well, I was living off credit; I've been foreclosed... now I need to move my family into my mother's basement in Nebraska... I'm so humiliated..." Nope. They say, "This here neighborhood is 'bad'. Too many gangs. No 'family values'. Too many liberals. Too many conservatives. ... We're moving to Buttfuck, Nebraska. Now that's a 'good' place to raise a family..." It's bullshit. Their objections to Bitcoin are similar bullshit. That's too bad; Bitcoins could set them free. Debt is slavery.

I am a lifetime member of the Bitcoin foundation. (self.Bitcoin) submitted 4 hours ago by theochino To the actual board of director of the Bitcoin foundation that read this message, if you are not going to do anything with the foundation, please relinquish the rights so we can run it the proper way. To other members of the Foundation, please sent me an email to [bitcoinfoundation@theochino.com](mailto:bitcoinfoundation@theochino.com) so we can figure out how to create a new board of director correctly and continue the advocacy for the small bitcoiners like ourselves. To anyone reading, but hate the foundation, please don't down-vote the post. We need to do something constructive with it and this would be the 4th iteration of the organization. Wutang-Yutani posted:I have an honest Bitcoin question I get completely different answers on by trying to Google it: honest answer: maybe. they can see the address the coins came from. they may not know who controls it. you can prove you control that address if you want to. if you don’t want to, then it’s not possible to cryptographically prove it was you without access to your private keys, but it can often be proven to legal standards by tracing transactions.

well you can see the address but you don't know for sure who has that address so it is clearly anonymous. for example no one will ever know the name of the guy receiving coins in that first pic. what a shame.
