I went from fresh 30 to WT5 in a weekend. It's not a huge time commitment.

If it's the one I'm thinking of, there is one SHD tech where you have to do a side mission or a bounty in the general area to get access to the building where it is. I think its in the Constitution Hall area. That one completely stumped me for an hour until I got frustrated enough to look up how to get it.

a lot of the shd tech you actually have to shoot the rope to make it drop, there s athing on the bottom where its hanging and you shoot it and it explodes and the rope drops

At least a few of the ones in New York I’ve done require you to shoot down a rappelling rope or knock down some debris to make a bridge. If a rappelling point has a smaller yellow ball on the end of the larger orange part you can shoot it to make it drop. It’ll explode if you shot the right thing/can actually shoot it.

One of the ropes I needed to shoot was something like 125 meters away from the cache itself.

I figured that part of it is stuff being tied to interactions that you’re not primed to look for, but there’s one underground in the financial district that’s baffling me. I’m in the tunnels, I can see it at a 90 degree turn with grating on either side... and no way in at all. I found a door that I shot the lock off of but it was a dead end.

A yellow boss spawned for me in those sewers and dropped a key that opened the door to the SHD tech. I think the trigger was getting into another door that required shooting a yellow panel through the glass on the door.

No, you don't need to do anything, the expansion automatically bumps you up to 30 WT5 power level no matter what level you are. It doesn't let you return to DC until you've beaten NYC though (and presumably hit level 40).

It kind of wipes the slate clean, all my guns got replaced with generic ones at the new power level. I don't know if that's just because I was only WT1 though.

I'm assuming I'll be able to back to DC to fight black tusk and they'll be scaled to 40? I haven't heard confirmation of that. I also assume NYC has its own new WT system or something.

That guy scared the crap out of me last night. I popped around the corner and he was 10’ away. Made me glad a couple of my builds survived somewhat intact.

That was definitely the trigger. I spent quite a while puzzling over how to get into that room and also how to get into the SHD room. Eventually shot the box through the window which opened the door spawning yellow dude, and when I saw he dropped a key I ran straight to the SHD room.

Interesting but I'm terrible at puzzles so this isn't a great sign for how finding SHD stashes is going to go for me!

I just did this one. The door at the other end of the room can be opened. - it has a padlock on its outside. You need to go round to the other side of it and shoot the padlock off through the railings.

So, I'm level 35 and NYC is fun so far. I love the tension, but once I beat it, it (and DC) will be more tense with Hard mode and directives.

I gotta say that I'm in AHO and I love being part of a collective but I'll never take another random invite for a co-op mission, even from a clanmate.

Played through a level with another goon and the guy rushes through everything. I try to poke around for loot, collectibles, even the occasionally visible secret.

They kept pushing ahead though 'cause they were in a rush. Which sorta bummed me out.

Thankfully, the two times they said "brb kids", I found secrets with good loot chests both times. So :respek: to them.

I honestly think it’s better to play story missions for the first time on your own so you can soak it up and poke about. They’ve put so much effort into the environment on these missions that it’s a crime to rush through it all

I might take about a week for this. I'm enjoying trailing off and poking around in every door too much. Which leads me to my wish for Division 3: Do a time-jump about 10 years and let the team design a proto-Fallout with that gfx-engine and their love of detail!

Side Note: Enemies absolutely melted with my brought-over DC-equipment but since i changed to nominally better new loot i struggle quite a bit. I'm sure this would have happened anyway, but feels strange.

Happy Noodle Boy

My only hope for a division 3 would be for them to flesh out the population/npcs (i feel there should be more people still around / communities being a little larger?) and for the open world to be a little more developed aka let me explore more buildings / skyscrapers instead of blocking off every building except the story mission ones.

Also, the Hunter outfit has been added to the apparel cache loot pool, so if you can unlock it with textiles if you missed out on the referral program one.
