 Welcome to Final Fantasy 8 Mafia! A game of mafia for 16 players.  I've attempted to simplify things while keeping the feel of previous games in this series of mafia games. This is going to be role madness style game with non standard night action mechanics. Standard Mafia Rules apply. It's going to be a fairly standard game of mafia with normal voting etc during the day. The twist is that every night there is going to be a global encounter.  I will post the encounter with the days flip. Each living player will send me one of the following actions via DM on discord or PMs here - Attack: An attacking player counts toward victory Magic: Uses a drawn magic ability Item: Uses an item Draw: Draw a spell from the current enemy encounter Some players may have other things they can do that augment these basic actions or manipulate them in some way but all night actions revolve around these encounters and those four basic actions that everyone can do. When you choose anything other than attack it will not count towards encounter victory unless the spell or item says it does or you have an ability that tells you that.  Scum still get a "night" kill during the encounter phase. ENCOUNTERS: Each encounter will be with an enemy that you would fight in the game Final Fantasy 8. Each encounter will have a difficulty rating that translates into how many people have to choose "Attack" in order to defeat it. The other thing that determines the amount of attacks needed is the amount of remaining living players. If the encounter is defeated and the players are victorious each player will gain a level. This level is only important in determining the effects of spells. If the encounter is not defeated, the scum players will receive a temporary bonus. GENERAL STUFF: Flavor is not necessarily an indicator of alignment. You may freely trade items and drawn spells during the day only. Just send me a pm or message on discord. The gist is that in order to get traditional docs/cops/vigs etc you'll need to draw spells. Drawing spells will mean that you don't count towards victory, but in order to level up and improve drawn spells you'll need to win encounters. All of the traditional "Mafia" style abilities are the effects of drawn spells only. Everyone will need to join this discord link in order to play.

Confirming. If you don't get enough players you can also sign me up for the other ten spots. I take it that the "Item" encounter action is only used by people who've received one for some role- or encounter-related reason and that the only always-available choices are Attack or Draw?
