My phone battery appears to rapidly be deteriorating. I've needed a new phone for a while but I can't be thinking about dealing with that with all this poo poo going on.  Also SDP, that's loving horrific and this country sucks rear end.

There’s plenty of sequencers on the App Store and I can’t say I’ve tried them all, but I can recommend at least a couple: MidiSTEPs, Genome, Fugue Machine. If you have an older iOS device you’ll be able to run Little MIDI Machine. I hope you’ll post the eventual results here!!!!!!! Am probably taking part in a compilation in the near future and was thinking I’d try a new project / new kind of production method for me. Seeing as I now have three iPads (2, Air 2 and an iPad 2019), I’d like to try something that would use all of them - and nothing but them. Touch only, no external control or effects, apart from a mixer. Many apps can sync via Ableton Link. Was thinking running at least iElectribe and Figure and maybe iKaossilator now that that’s free too.

I was able to laugh about it a couple of hours ago because I saw it coming and that's always my initial reaction to bad news, but now I'm thinking about the months ahead and it's just gently caress. What area are you in? I know in Houston at least Amazon and most of the grocery stores are hiring basically anyone that can pass a criminal background check as temp workers. It may not be much, and probably won't have benefits, but it might be better than nothing.

Also the post office's hiring process is super abbreviated now. One of my fuckup friends got a job as a letter carrier without a background check. She'll get fired in less than six weeks.

I am home now and have spring break until at least the sixth. Told my kids I honestly may not see them again at all. Pretty sad. This year was a really sharp group.

Once Upon A Time in the West is a masterpiece, but my absolute favorite of the Leone movies remains The Good, The Bad & The Ugly. Unforgiven is a fantastic look at the Clint Eastwood cowboy archetype getting old and trying to tap back into the hardness that kept him going in his youth against a backdrop of the old west itself being overtaken by civilization. My Darling Clementine holds up surprisingly well for the studio era of cowboy films, and The Searchers is superb.
