I liked it more than Granbelm, for example, but Granbelm had aspects where I went "Ah, I see, the people who love it like these things, and are willing to overlook its flaws in exchange for seeing those things done to their liking." Planet With, I didn't have that.

planet with has a better ending than lucifer and the biscuit hammer because it doesn't see the need to time lapse marry a bunch of characters who never once had a remotely memorable interaction in the entire story

What made Planet With really great was the exploration of philosophical themes, mainly dealing with pacifism vs. justice. The narrative is basically making the case that justice is worthless and you're better off without it. I was blown away by how simple it was to apply such a pure ideal of pacifism in the final confrontation - Thank the dragon for the good things he's done, and forgive him for the bad things he's done. Also it was Norio Wakamoto voicing an alien dog man.

The first two seasons, which form a single complete story arc, are pretty good, though the actual card game aspect of it is very secondary—you won't learn how to play the game by watching the show. I haven't seen the third or fourth season to judge them, but I think the general consensus was "not as good as the first two seasons".

I thought everybody didn't like it. the first two seasons are incredible and some of mari okada's best work, a legitimately touching story about relationships and sexuality. also they literally never explain how to play the card game and all the scenes where they play it just do a few emotional beats between characters and end, they barely ever say 'this card ___' and there's never even really any indication of whos winning or losing beyond character's reactions and when the match is over. there's never a display of the board or anything. it's an ad for a card game but its hardly a card game anime like yugioh or smth.

The end of that teaser and the designs I've seen elsewhere makes it seem a lot more upbeat on its face, which could either be deceptive or going another route with the series after Lostorage.

I read some ch of the Arte manga so I'm surprised it got an anime adaptation since it has the weird student/teacher relationship I'm going to sit it out. Kitsutsuki Tanteidokoro: Detectives and books. Fugou Keiji: Balance  More detectives and batman. Nami yo Kiitekure: I like the art style and character designs. Yesterday wo Utatte : I read the manga and it's boring.

The Psycho Pass 3 finale movies are out and they're a pretty satisfying and action-packed conclusion. It felt even more Ghost in the Shell than Psycho Pass 1 or 2 than the TV episodes did.
