Fffffuck I never knew Adam Schlesinger did the That Thing You Do soundtrack! Although now that I know, it's clearly his voice. The style of music wasn't really my thing, but I always thought it was an unbelievably impressive achievement. He was asked to write a song that sounded like it could be the most popular song in the world, and he absolutely pulled it off. How the hell!

New Purity Ring is good. A little short, but knew that already. The signed purple vinyl is also very pretty. Everyone should check out Tinted Windows, it's a supergroup with Adam Schlesinger, James Iha, Bun E. Carlos and Taylor Hansen and it's really really great, just perfect timeless power pop. I also really like The Click Five but that's definitely straddling the line between power pop and boy band.
