Some people knew him from EVE but hadn't been around at the time of his fall from grace, so they didn't know why he'd left goonfleet or that he was a pedo creep. The overall result being that when the first person/people started asking why a pedo was allowed in the guild, lots of folks thought it was just a case of "importing EVE drama". So it took days longer than it should have to kick him out of the guild and completely disengage from him. There was a lot of drama in the SA thread. This is where old man Tokaii comes in. He took it as his tone-deaf duty to educate the younglings on the medical/psychiatric/legal definitions of pedophilia. Everybody was using the term "pedo" wrong, you see. Since the girl was a teenager BFM would technically be an ephebophile, not a pedophile.  No, what are you going Tokaii, stop! He also posted about a study that showed 16 was scientifically the most physically attractive age for girls.  By this point BFM was banned from SA, so Tokaii became the main target. He got defensive, and once there was blood in the water you all know how an SA feeding frenzy goes. Having been there, I don't think he was a pedo, I think he was just a pedantic old man who thought he could look clever with a "well, actually" that backfired explosively.
