For a while now, I've been watching Gatoh Move, and I enjoy it a lot! I don't think many people in this forum watch it, though. Now that they have launched their new weekly show for Westerners, I think it is a great time to introduce you to it. Ok let's get this out of the way first: The Venue  Ichigaya Chocolate Square. This is a dentist's office with mats put down. No ring; the waiting room has been stripped out and fans watch from folding chairs surrounding mats adjacent to windows and outside the window looking in, as you can see. Gatoh Move has fans spectating, but Choco Pro does not. Alongside her wrestling school, Emi promotes two shows: Gatoh Move and Chocolate Pro Wrestling, both are inter-gender. Gatoh Move  The flagship. A traditional wrestling show (as traditional as you can be in a dentist's office) with a crowd and focus on matches. When wrestling was allowed, they uploaded a match every day to YouTube. Once this whole corona thing dies down, I expect them to start back up. The announcer is named Pumi. He is actually the money behind the whole show! A lot of now-famous joshi started life or spent a lot of time in Gatoh Move. The most famous are Riho and Hikaru Shida. Choco Pro Choco Pro is Emi's twice weekly show designed for Westerners. It's hard to describe because it's unlike anything else ever done. The best I can come up with is wrestling children's show for adults. Everything is done directly to the camera. Emi has said in interviews that she wants the audience to be you at home and that's it. So all action is done directly to the camera. Shows include non-wrestling things like sing-alongs, group activities (Emi taught everyone proper Hindu squat form and then everyone, including you, did reps) and of course, the weekly rock paper scissors tournament for the ultimate prize: a piece of chocolate. Where to Watch Right now, since there's no Gatoh Move, we're getting a lot of weird stuff like beer reviews and hair tutorials. We're also getting watch parties and long form interviews (the one with Emi about her time in FMW is amazing). Gatoh Move is the greatest prowrestling obscured by bong smoke experience because its like two kids pushing the couches together and powerboming each other for 3 hours straight. Except the baby mama doesn't cuss you out for smoking in front of the kids again.

Gatoh Move and Emi own and you should go see them if you’re ever in Tokyo. One of the most fun wrestling shows I’ve ever seen + Emi is a sweetheart I have to say I haven’t really kept up with Chocopro but will probably try to catch up!!! I'm really glad I convinced my friend to go watch Gatoh Move when he was over in Japan for Wrestle Kingdom. Despite my envy. I really appreciate how they don't really feel like a traditional pro wrestling company. Chris Brookes goofing on Mei for being so short never stops being funny. But mostly I just really value what Emi is doing as far as training people who would not traditionally get into wrestling, like Lulupencil. It's unique.

Emi and Honda being the really cool Aunt and Uncle letting the kids play wrestling while Brookes exerts the biggest brother energy is probably my favorite regular wrestling show right now. I've missed a bunch of Dynamite shows because it's not live anymore, I've almost entirely stopped watching RAW and Smackdown, but I'll still watch Choco Pro whenever I see it pop into my feed
