I'm hoping the unmarked leak that I saw when it got posted elsewhere is fake, because if the plot/main enemy of the game is a "Christian" group who goes around murdering anyone they deem sinners because they blame them for the outbreak, then gently caress that garbage, doubly so if the part about Ellie's lover getting killed for being gay and they kill Joel too and it turns out Ellie's mom was a member as well is accurate.

I'm reading up on Naughty Dog's workplace ethics, anyone else not feeling like buying the sequel on release despite loving the first game? (setting aside "game bad") I like their titles but I definitely don't feel like validating their lovely culture.

I've seen a cutscene from what looks like the ending/near the end, doesn't look like ellie dies imho but that hardly matters because joels still dead and he did nothing wrong

The script was probably finalized at least 18 months ago, there are edits and rewrites like in any other medium but the bulk of video game work is done on art assets and not making the thing look like crap.

While the videos are obviously real, there also seemed to be quite a bit of broken telephone going on and it's hard to figure out how much of the information out there is actually true. I saw Brock Lesnar's terminator daughter singlehandedly destroy Ellie while throwing off her girlfriend, jamming an arrow into her side, bashing her face into the floor, and getting ready to slit her throat. Apparently Ellie says something like "but she pregnant doe" which gets her even more pumped up to rip and tear but her own Ellie circa tLoU1 expy says her name and gets her to stop and leave the two of them gurgling up blood in a presumably alive but very much humiliated state
