I wanna know why he knew about Sara and nobody else did, but that she's connected to the game shouldn't be news to Keiji, who absolutely used this to get away with vigilante killing. Maybe Nao will read the lips somehow since it's been foreshadowed she's super attentive to details.

Also wondering who's on the other side of that glass. Sue Miley? Kai?

Yeah, he's already shown to be rather cowardly, using him as their catspaw and telling him "Hey, place these cards secretly, and if you do so, you get first pick of which card you want" would certainly fit his shown attitude.

(Where did that voice come from...?!)

“.........”

“...No good. Can't hear him anymore.”

(Gin...!)

“No...! You want us to abandon Gin?! I refuse to give up...!!”

“...You're right.”

“Let's look around, Sara.”

“...No more losing anybody.”

“Right...!”

Investigate key.

There's something on the table.

(A key...?)

“Lets go back to the kitchen and hide!”

“Okie-dokie...”

(I don't know who you are... but don't notice us...!)

The footsteps stopped near the door.

I can hear them talking quietly.

“Did you let them escape...?”

“I apologise...”

“Gone...? Sigh... Seriously, give it up.”

“.............”

(Is Gin... safe? Who could the other person be...?)

“Listen, don't let Gashu have his way.”

(Wha...?!)

“...I understand...”

“Connect the blue wire, and keep a careful eye on Gashu.”

“W-Why do you know about...?”

“And one more thing.”

(Destroy... the security...?)

“Please be quiet...! What if someone heard you?”

“Eheehee... Then things would get quite fun, I suppose.”

“...?”

“Oh, and...”

(We have to run!!)

Music stops.

“Whew... That was a close call...”

“But Gin is still...!”

“It didn't look like those two had captured him, at least.”

(…!)

“...Let's think about what we can do.”

“Those two mentioned some very interesting things...”

“Yep. Something about a chip in Ranger's head....”

“I don't know what sort of functionality it has... But if we could watch the security cameras on all the floors...!”

“Sounds loads better than sneaking back onto the first floor and getting caught.”

“Okay, Sara, let's roll.”

“...Before that. Just briefly, we should check our cards. That annoying noise earlier signalled a trade...”

“Ah, right. Someone's cards must've gotten traded.”

(I'm... still the Keymaster...)

“...And I'm still a Commoner.”

(So it was between people other than us...)

“Glad it didn't add any extra complications. Now let's go to the Monitor Room.”

Investigate the machine.

In front of the monitors is a machine that, despite it's complexity, offers only simple functions.

Music stops.

Looking down by the ground, various wires are connected to the computer.

“They said it was the blue wire, right?”

“Let's try connecting it.”

I connected the blue wire to the computer.

“...Bingo.”

(This is the surveillance system...!! Is Gin on any of these?)

Investigate top-left monitor.

The top-left monitor shows some broken bongos in an empty bedroom.

(Those are the bongos Alice bought from the Prize Exchange...!)

They look slightly repaired from when Reko broke them.

(Alice must have tried to fix them... As if hoping to repair their relationship...)

But Alice can give them to her no longer.

(It doesn't matter right now... I can't get stuck on it...)

Investigate left-middle monitor.

The left monitor shows an empty bedroom.

Investigate bottom-left / top-right monitor.

Investigate bottom-right monitor.

Reko's body and Rio Ranger's remains are still there.

(Reko...)

Investigate right monitor.

(That's... Q-taro? Is he talking with the owner of the room...?)

Investigate central monitor.

(Huh? Something's odd about this bedroom...)

(W-What...?! What's going on?! That's the Professor Mishima AI...!!)

(Nao...?!)

“Is this... really for the best...?”

“Indeed. Well done, Miss Nao. I'm glad your safety was ensured.”

“But, but... he'll...!!”

“Believe in me, Miss Nao. For I was miraculously revived so that I could protect you...”

“R... Right...”

“Now, put on a smile! I like to see you cheery, Miss Nao.”

“Y-Yes...!”

“Fantastic. What a good student I have, indeed.”

“...This isn't good.”

“Just what is that Professor Mishima...?!”

“Hmm... He said he “revived”, but...”

“It's a tricky subject, huh? AIs are entities of pure data, so...”

“If our enemy's up to it, maybe they're free to revive 'em and copy 'em as they like.”

(No way...)

“The scarier thing is...”

Music stops.

(…!!)

“Only Nao's room having a monitor in it is pretty suspect, too.”

“Maybe the Floor Master is plotting something.”

(No way...! Nao...)

We checked all the monitors, but Gin was nowhere to be found.

(This surveillance system is only for Floor 3... Sure enough, Gin's still on Floor 1!)

“Uh oh. Somebody's coming.”

“Huh...?!”

“It's Gashu... I'll shut off the security system.”

“Whew...”

“Oh my...! Pardon me, then...”

“While you're here, though, tell me something.”

“...You are precisely right.”

“Hmm...”

“Gotcha. You can go. We're gonna... take the next step.”

“Yes. I shall leave you to it...”

“Now, what to do...”

“I know...! We should collect Ranger's chip while we still can!”

“You okay not going after Gin...?”

“Of course I'm worried, but...! Gin... isn't just a child anymore! I'm sure... he'll escape and return to us...”

“And when he does... we should have an escape plan worked out to surprise him with.”

“...Maybe that's what “believing” is.”

“Let's go... To the Room of Lies!”

Talk to Gashu.

“It is certainly within your options to spend some time together, you two.”

Look at Gashu.

I can't tell anything about Gashu's heart.

“...To sense someone's heart, you need to have spent time together.”

Talk to Safalin.

“Ah... Where are you two headed...?”

  • I don't think Keiji actually copes that well with being put on the spot.

“Ah, you can'ttt!”

“Right now it's... you're not allowed in...”

“Hold on, Safalin. Can you just decide that?”

“.............”

“No buts about it... Let's leave it for later, Sara.”

“...Understood...”

  • But we really need that chip.

Talk to Safalin.

“Aaah... We'll at least get the bodies moved out of there quickly, so...”

“Ah, ooh...!! Miss Sara!”

“Right now, erm... You're not allowed in the Room of Lies...”

“Seems it'll be hard to retrieve it right now.”

“Uhhhmmm... Miss Saraaaa...”

“I'll repeat myself if I must... But the Room of Lies is off-limits...”

“She's not giving us an opening.”

“...Now!”

“Please stop it, Miss Saraaa...!”

“The Room of Lies if off-limits! You caaan't!!”

“That was a good move, though...”

“Now's the time!!””

“Egh!! Miss Sara!!”

“What's important is having an unbreakable spirit...”

  • Safalin's turning red.

Look at Safalin.

I feel... a fighting spirit from Safalin.

“Seems she's resolute not to let us in.”

Music stops.

(W... What?!)

Talk to Alice / Gashu.

“Whatever are you doing?!”

“Shut up...!”

“What's gotten into you, Alice?!”

“He doesn't have a gun right now...! I've been waiting for this moment!!”

“What's all the commotion?!”

“A-Alice...”

“..........”

“Oof...! Please cease this...!”

“Hmph, you make me laugh. So even you value your life.”

“Now tell me where the exit is! Or else you're...!”

Music stops.

“Be serious with me!! Then how are you gonna leave when it's all over?!”

Alice reached his hand toward Gashu's neck.

“...!!”

“Wh... What the...”

“Eh...?”

“What is THAT?! Please, enough of these games...!!”

“Hack, cough... Do you understand...?”

(A collar...! Even the Floor Masters are...?!)

“What in the world...”

“What do you want that would make you do this...?!”

“..........”

Now, I will excuse myself. Please continue to spend your time before the Main Game well, so as to leave no regrets.”

(No exit...? Impossible...)

“...You giving up?”

“...I give up... on trying to reason with them.”

Music stops.

“Ahaha. Good on you, Miss Sara. That's our dependable leader.”

“...Sou.”

“Speaking of which, I've got something important to talk about with you and Keiji.”

Look at Q-taro, Sou and Kanna.

Kanna and Q-taro... seem kind of happy. I can't... read anything from Sou...

“Sheesh... He's too crafty.”

Talk to Q-taro, Sou and Kanna.

  • We have to pick yes to proceed.

Music stops.

“Thanks, Miss Sara!”

“So, onto business... “

“Err... um...”

“Hold on now, what's this?! Sou! Old buddy, old pal! Haven't we always been the bestest of friends?!”

“S-Sorry. I'm not really one for that sort of energy...”

(Neither am I, but I'm trying over here...!)

“Still, I'm glad. I seriously do want to reconcile with you, Miss Sara.

“I don't want the kidnappers to make us dance for them any longer.”

“I want to put an end to this ridiculous Death Game. I want us to escape.”

“And of course, I mean all of us...!”

“What a moving speech.”

“I'm serious, Keiji.”

“...!!”

It's my bad for taking it from you, but...”

“In the end, I couldn't see what was on it because the password had been changed.”

(So that's how it is...)

“That explains why you suddenly feel like joining up with us, who know the password.”

“Huh? You know the password...?”

“Ack...”

“Enough with the bargaining. There isn't time.”

“We have the password. Sou has the laptop.”

“Reconciling means... we share.”

“I really do just want to reconcile, though...

Music stops.

“Well, whatever. Okay, as a proof of rebuilt friendship...”

“Okay.”

Oh hell. Gin's still missing, the AIs are turning on their creator, someone's rebooted a Mishima to manipulate Nao (specifically after the original AI told Reko to put him out of his misery so Nao could move on) and now Sou's pulling this poo poo. And there's still plenty of room for things to get worse.

Edit: Actually, it's whoever the hell is pretending to be the Miley AI

There's a lot of things that were just revealed. I think they just implied that the first Mishima was a doll.
- Doll heads contain an important chip that the gamemasters are retrieving.
- Mishima's head went missing.

It looks like both Gashu and Sue Miley are somewhat on our side.

Gashu also said that the monitors contain AIs of all those who cleared the First Trial, but there are only 9 monitors for the 11 clearers. One was broken from the start, so perhaps the remaining 8 were for everyone but Joe+Kai+Nao.

Mishima's body was bleeding when he died, though, so its unlikely that the Mishima that died at the start was a doll. Then again, Miley is a "doll" and also bleeds, so who knows?

I honestly just think Miley is an agent of chaos at this point. I assume it's Safalin she's talking to.

But she gives Sara the papers, ostensibly against the rules, and yet also seems to be dedicated to the ideals of the Death Game? Unless she's doing it just to gently caress Gashu's round up. If they have collars maybe they're all in competition with each other too.

Another thing: Gashu says "candidates". For what? Just to win? Is this the weirdest hazing ever?

I'm thinking that the first broken monitor may have been for Sou. After re-reading earlier updates:

- Sara checks the monitors a bit before Sarafin and Ranger first show up, hoping that since there's one for Mishima then maybe there's one for Joe as well. She finds pictures on the back of the monitors but none of the pictures are of Joe. All nine monitors are intact at this point.
- Sarafin and Ranger show up and explain the rules of floor 3. Everyone except for Sou has shown up at this point and Ranger herds people off to the Prize Exchange.
- When Sara and friends head back to the Monitor Room the leftmost monitor is damaged. Upon further investigation it turns out that the picture on the back of the monitor has been ripped off but no there's nothing that states who it was a picture of.
- Nao takes a moment to do something other than talk to MishimaBot and notes that she hasn't seen Sou this whole time.
- The search for Sou begins and his beanie is found. Before the search can resume though it's time for games!
- One game later, Reko finds Sou in his room face down after being attacked (again). There is a plank of wood on the bed and the description for it implies it'd be sturdy enough to hit something with.
- When MishimaBot's monitor is broken it's noted that there were bits of wood around the first broken monitor but not the second monitor. Something else of note is that breaking a monitor prevents access to that particular AI, meaning that both MishimaBot and MysteryBot are now offline.

NeoRonTheNeuron
Oct 14, 2012
Yes, I could see the broken one being Sou's.

That'd leave 1 extra monitor for Joe/Kai/Nao. Kai is the most likely one since he's been involved with the organization and could have had an AI modeled after him.

"Kain you believe it" is the most horrible thing, looks like Sara's father was a big influence on Kai.
