 This is Vlad, my brother's cat, in June last year. Vlad was a sweet goofball. Vlad choked to death on some dog food sometime overnight last night. Sorry to bring rain to a happy thread, but I feel Vlad needs remembering. He brought a lot of joy to one of the people I care about most. Godspeed Vlad. Now if you'll excuse me I need to hug my cat. Young thin pebber! I found this thread in 2015 and read the entire thing from page 1. Well, I attempted to but most of the pics were broken links (waffleimages) until 2012 when everyone switched to imgur. I really loved Mr. Cat and was greatly saddened by his passing. He was my favorite early catte thread catte.

The first time I met Vlad was at 3am after finally getting to my brother's place after a 16 hour day of travel (it should have been like 6 hours but delays screwed me over) and I had a touch of food poisoning from some food that had obviously been under a heat lamp too long at LAX (don't order a breakfast sandwich at 11pm). He curled up next to me on the lovely air mattress and purred for hours until I had worked everything through my system and could pass out. He was a good cat.

All those memes about cats wanting us to go back to work don't apply to glitch Since we adopted her, my partner has either been on medical leave or WFH, so when their offices reopen, it will probably be a bit of a rough transition at first.
