Metal for people who never got into metal and the aesthetic is cool. I like their posters. I saw them live once and it was really fun.

One of my favourite American PNW indie artists Tyler Edwards released an acoustic version of his favourite track of mine - Don't Rush Me: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=GnQ7D0Vfncg I know I tend to have different tastes than a lot of this thread and tend towards the acoustic folk tracks, but I hope someone else here likes this. Tyler's music has been a soundtrack for a lot of the last year for me, I discovered him at a Sofar show and had a lot of his tracks on repeat. For reference, this is the original album track which I also absolutely love: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=y7LCsck6Gjs

there are a lot of really good Talkhouse episodes, but my favorite will always be the one with Caroline Polachek and Alan Palomo with spacey procedurally generated background music

The weird Mitski CIA op thing was like a year ago. Dunno why it’s being brought up now again but I think most people just find it silly. And people have been pissed at Grimes since she started dating Elon Musk.

And that's why it's important to support your local indie bands when you can, because god knows they need it if they aren't already independently wealthy.

Unsurprisingly a lot of talented musicians come from affluent backgrounds where they could afford the kind of equipment, networking and training early in life to perform at a high level. Being wealthy offers tremendous advantages including the amplification of natural talent, a phenomenon that should come as a shock to absolutely no one.
