Simon Hanselman has started a new series with his characters called Crisis Zone that is following them through quarantine that has some achewood vibes on her instagram (starting here): https://www.instagram.com/p/B9sB-C3hQ_X/?igshid=s2o5k21ihm9i

Really makes me wish Onstad would come back and do something similar with Achewood

I just caught up on the last couple days of this and absolutely lost my poo poo at Werewolf Jones doing a funeral for the thongs in a thong with a tiny priest collar and reading out of a Victoria's Secret.

I'm on Instagram just to read those. I'm a huge fan of Hanselmann and recommend Megg, Mogg, and Owl to any Achewood fan with the caveat that all of their stuff is dark and nihilistic as gently caress, might be a bit much for some people.

Well Megg is, Mogg is an worthless trust fund kid too lazy to escape and Owl is an rear end in a top hat entitled nerd too hung up on Megg to leave (until he does).

Owl is unusually sympathetic in this iteration, then he has the dream where he imagines being part of the Crane family but they're racist and he finds this comforting, and that puts him back in his proper context.

I have been going through a lot of hot sauce while in quarantine and it set me to wondering if anyone still has a bottle of this stuff way at the back of their pantry:

I knew a ton of Achewood fans online while the strip was a going concern, but I never spoke to a single person that had bought and tried this.

I got a bottle but it was like 15 years ago

I remember it being okay, made some buffalo wings with it, but these days I'd probably just use a $1 bottle of Valentina and garlic

YES, IT IS AN INCREDIBLY SIMPLE DISH

NO, IT IS NOT NORMAL TO USE A PEPPERAMI INSTEAD OF MINCED MEAT

YES, THERE IS TOO MUCH SALT IN MY RECIPE

NO, I WON'T STOP SHARING IT

There was some kind of "chef's package" that included the Cookbook, the Téodor apron, and a bottle of Ray's Rad Chilies--otherwise, I wouldn't have bought the sauce on its own! It was a perfectly fine hot sauce, tho.

Kinda wish I had kept the bottle as a memento, since the shop shut down not TOO long after I bought it. Still will forever regret not picking up the Achewasser/Stammtisch pint glass while I had the chance, to round out my Achewood pint collection. :(

I've made the oven fries recipe twice and while I'm not convinced it truly needs to many temperature changes etc., it's still very easy and the results are pretty good. I like to dip them in a curry powder + mayo mix.

This is in the top ten baffling probations compilation at the end of the hot tub brawls video.

(I’m guessing based on the rap sheet it’s from a gassed thread but drat if it didn’t throw me for a loop)

I've got the apron hanging in my closet, the Rad Chiles in my pantry (I had been saving it, but my wife opened it at some point not knowing that), and I did have the cookbook but I have no idea where that wound up.
