unless Bird has a stronger opinion than I, the PYF line is that "Karen" refers to a very specific, entitled sort of middle- / upper-middle class woman, and very often one that is rude, abusive, or otherwise lacking in empathy for service personnel and anyone else she considers beneath her status. the Karen memes are funny and generally laser-accurate and I have not seen one yet that I thought could or was intended to be used as a cudgel to beat up women in general, so carry on, and stop litigating the issue here. e: in answer to an earlier asked question, I have seen "Greg" going around as the male equivalent, but haven't seen a concise roundup of the visual signifiers, although it's probably very much like the famous Supreme Court ruling on pornography

What's wrong with saying "oval office?" It's a very good word that describes a very broad and diverse group of people who happen to be cunts.

It's kinda like racists trying to claim they only apply the n-word to certain type, just like white trash is used. you just can't separate it out.

Growing up in America, I hardly ever heard the word “oval office” and when I did it didn’t seem particularly obscene to anyone. Once I grew up and learned that misogynists use it in a minimizing way against women because it means vagina I was pretty surprised because it had always been such a mild word, and here it was being a slur.

My grandparents were Irish immigrants so I heard it a lot out of my granddad especially. My dad remarried when I was 7 or so and my new stepmother was adamant that neither her children or my father's would ever learn the 'c-word'. I was very disappointed when I learned the c-word in question was oval office. I wanted some kind of turbo-swear. I guess in some circles it still counts as one.
