Somewhat related: some artists would say an identifying phrase during performances and change it up at each venue so they could track where their bootlegs were recorded. Roger Waters was known for saying a string of random numbers during some of Pink Floyd's long instrumental sections. I don't know if they did (or even could) actually pursue legal action from it though.

Generally you can pursue legal action against bootlegged concerts (as it's technically copying the music for distribution without permission), but with the rise of social media nobody has bothered because the amount of money you'd spend fighting lawsuits against your entire concert crowd wouldn't match what you'd get back. Freaking out over bootlegs was more of a 70s-90s thing where people were secretly recording whole concerts (including recording the audio straight through the booth) and selling the copies.

My old local record shop had a giant bootleg section and ended up being sued by phish. Their solution was to just mix the bootlegs in with everything else, which didn't last very long and they ended up going out of business. This was... I dunno early to mid 2000s.

In the late 90s/early 2000s, Primus fought that by just straight-up having concert bootlegs on their web site. It ruled, because they would do weird poo poo like concerts that were all acoustic, or do cover songs that weren't on any studio albums and such. They said they were down with bootleg trading, just not people making money off them.

This got interesting when the skinny guy landed a six-hit combination which included two body blows and a kick, but I absolutely lost it at the end when he pulled his kick and stopped to visibly measure his target before cracking the dude one last time.

I know nothing about fighting and even I could tell shirtless dude's stance was poo poo. It seemed like he was doing more of a King Kong pose. Also those spin kicks were fresh as hell

Video's racked up 1.6 million views from people going back over and over again to rewatch that spinning kick.
