Full version of This Island Earth, the cut storm shelter scene and original ending, the original riffs in place, the theme song, etc. First time I saw The Movie was wonderful because it had an extra audio track of my dad in the background complaining that TIE was one of his favorite movies and they were leaving out the good parts.

I had to queue this up and watch. It's still so so funny. A couple dated topical jokes*, but less than I expected. * - "John Sinunu goes for a haircut" and "Ladies and Gentlemen, A Flock of Seagulls!"

I liked MST3K the Movie, but I'm of the opinion that it really didn't need to be made (well, apart from their experience making it being what inspired the wonderful "Crow's Movie" host segments during Incredible Melting Man).

I found it so funny I convinced my old man to watch it with me the next morning. "Breach hull, all die, even had it underlined!"

Teenage Caveman is "the episode with Catching Trouble" in the way War of the Colossal Beast is "the episode with Mr. B Natural", but I still really like it as a whole. Of the very few episodes where they did more than one short, The Unearthly is definitely my favorite, though.

There's a live chat and they show stuff from The Film Crew too, the short lived show with mike bill and kevin riffing on movies. The live chat is fun! I'm mayhay89 if anyone is on there and sees me cracking wise.

Once in a blue moon you'll get somebody complaining about a Mary Jo and Bridget riff or trying Joel v. Mike but the mods smack it down quick and I haven't seen it happen in ages. For a while there was a guy who tried to make fun of the Troll 2 riff but we started making fun of him and he never came back.

I’ve been pretty pleased that alone among 90s nostalgia things, mst3k switched to having a woman be the lead and nobody has complained or made a dumb petition or tried to chase her off twitter. I’m not surprised, as mst3k fans are generally pretty chill and decent.
