Is your plunger just caked in poo poo or what? Just get some sort of caddy so you don't have to look directly at it It's normal and not embarrassing to have a plunger. You don't have to pretend you don't

The Bloop posted:Is your plunger just caked in poo poo or what? I actually feel a sense of unease when someone doesn't obviously have one at their house when I have to use the bathroom. This is in combination with my other anxiety-inducing but horribly common bathroom thing: being a guest at a house with a toilet that requires some kind of jiggery pokery to flush properly for some loving reason. Nothing like unloading a gallon of beery piss and barbecue farts only for the toilet to just not flush, and the host says "oh I'll get it don't worry" and walks into the whole mess. Why does everyone have broken toilets, there are like three parts

The Bloop posted:Is your plunger just caked in poo poo or what? yes it's caked in poo poo (like my posts) when I was staying at someone's place via airbnb in Belgium I took a poo poo, it got stuck and they had no plunger. I had to walk to a hardware store and then explain myself to the hosts lol

I tried to reminisce and I know one couple who had a clogged-up toilet once, in the 00s. No idea what they'd tried to flush. e: Maybe they tried to flush a plunger.

But in my 34 years of making GBS threads I've never had a blocked toilet in my house. I don't know anyone who's had a blocked toilet in their houses either. Assuming you're not living in like Greece or Italy or some place where the plumbing dates back to roman times I just don't understand how you could possibly block up a toilet unless you're doing something seriously wrong; but yet plungers exist therefore blocked toilets must exist. Oh ok so US toilets are literally designed differently to the rest of the world and more prone to blocking. On the other hand they have lots of water in the bowl so you don't need to use the toilet brush to clean the bowl after every poo poo. Confirming that^. I'm American and born/lived 25 years in the US and toilets clogging was not frequent, but definitely a thing. Now I've been in Belgium 10 years and have never had a toilet clog once. I don't think any of my friends have plungers either

Whether a toilet gets clogged or not is mostly to do with the design of the toilet. We have one that I can't wait to get rid of that is regularly clogged by my 6 year old son, regardless of how much toilet paper is being used etc.. As in multiple times per week. Even my 3 year old has managed to clog it. It's a shallow, round bowl one with tiny drainage and harsh bends. It's the worst.

Yeah, we used to have one that wobbled on its base, clogged all the time, would keep running until you jiggled the handle, etc... Now our new toilet doesn't have any of those problems and it spritzes my butthole

Inglenook actually refers to the recessed area around the fire where the cooking would be done. When kitchens started getting spun off into their own thing with their own fires, the nooks were made smaller and the fire boxes enclosed and/or replaced with stoves. Later architectural movement like arts and crafts started adding in built-in seating and so ignlenook is now as likely to refer to a seating nook around a fireplace as it is a recessed fireplace/stove.

Here's my entry wall blank, but I marked the approximate space for this, which I think would look nice https://www.allposters.com/-sp/Blue-Gray-1961-Posters_i13378096_.htm the measurements are also set so the space would be centered and the midpoint would be at my eye level (small pencil nib in the middle). the wall is about nine feet wide and 9.5 feet high. This is too small right? I can look for a larger version on other sites, but I was also wondering what you think a good size would be for a single print. I could get it in a 28 x 40 " print with a white border around the sides like here https://www.art.com/products/p14433292-sa-i3022394/mark-rothko-blue-gray-1961.htm?sOrigID=4&upi=F2I0G12FOUJ6 with the "classic" black frame actionjackson fucked around with this message at 03:07 on May 25, 2020 |

Pick up something original or paint a canvas yourself instead. Buying a poster-printed Rothko is not worth your money and is a detriment to anyone's decor, imho.
