Ur is just the name of Ship 2. You can import a JP character's looks if you saved them at the Fashion Salon but otherwise no.

This might be really handy for some people - after setting a mission, if you go to the globe menu and click on client orders, this option becomes available, letting you grab any relevant orders for that mission.

Alternatively, when you're at an NPC, or from your client orders menu you can click this drop down and filter by region.

What exactly does this "Salon pass" I got from some ARKS mission let me do? I've complained about not getting a chance to recolor my built-in robot basewear during character generation, will this let me do that?

And is it consumed when I start doing stuff, or when I click confirm at the end?

Buy powdered ginger root caplets from Amazon or GNC or wherever. I've always been extremely motion sensitive and it works for back seat of cars, VR, etc by supressing your stomach acid generation.

Also use the highest framerate monitor you can and reduce the size of the window (i.e. don't play it on a 34" ultrawide at 21:9 from a foot away.

Edit 2: Holy hell this lobby music sucks. If there a way to file swap it for PSO1 lobby music?

You took your clothes off and that's your innerwear/basewear for the layering system. Put your clothes back on.

Also no but it's just for while the wedding event is on. Strictly speaking there is an official lobby track but you'll hear it maybe once a year because event lobbies almost always have their own music.

Added Power from your units and equipped weapon do not count.

I hate that bosses can be beaten by dying and going back to the level over and over again. Like I can keep dying to a boss but when I fight it again the amount of HP I took off is still accounted for.

Not every mission type allows this, and on the ones that do doing that lowers your rank.

It used to be going back to the ship when you were fighting a boss in the final area failed the quest. That still is the case for a lot of stuff, just not explorations.

You can visit the salon to recolor most stuff or change your hair or accessories or whatever for free.
Some changes, like adjusting your body shape, require a realmoney payment. I guess the salon pass is an alternative for those?

As someone who has never played PSO, I have no loving idea where I should be going or what I should be doing. The tutorial doesn't really teach you anything. Then you're dropped in a room and told "okay bye, go do your stuff" and I have no idea how to do that or get with others to do that or where I should go or how to equip anything or go anywhere else. It's just "here's a bunch of convoluted menus."

How.... how do you play this game? What should I be doing as a fresh player?

Step one is to find Afin in the gate lobby (he moves around in the are a a bit, so you might have to look for him for a few seconds), talk to him, and do each of his "Client Orders" (aka sidequests) one at a time. Most of those do some tutorialization stuff and will get you at least SOMEWHAT far.

This needs to be in the OP. It's a huge help for new players since running around the laggy hell of the lobby/shop area to check quests for your mission sucks.

Go to the quest counter and select a training quest for whatever class you want to play - it will teach you the basics.
Confident in your class and the weapon you wanna use? Grab a collection file for that weapon from the collections lady next to the quest lady to get started on getting a freebie weapon.
Go to Afin and talk to him and grab all of his client orders
Find your Class trainer (press N to bring up the map) and get their orders
Complete their orders while also doing the daily, weekly and main ARKS missions.
Grab all the other client orders applicable to the quests by going to the globe icon AFTER starting the quest (e.g. Forest Exploration) and going to the bottom option.
Eventually as you level a girl named Coffee at the quest counter will give you client orders! Make sure you do them ASAP! She is how you get your Mag (lvl 5) and Subclass (lvl 20) https://pso2.arks-visiphone.com/wiki/Koffie_Client_Orders (for a full breakdown of the level reqs and client orders)
Once you have your mag, look up how you should feed it. In almost every case you want to reach 200 of the stat that gives you damage. In general the type of weapon gives that type of damage (e.g. Melee weapons such as Wired Lance will give S-atk), for Dex you can feed it a skill disc. Make sure you counter any unwanted stats like def or dex with another item like a mate BEFORE it levels up that unwanted stat. If you mess up its ok, its not hard to fix later on.
Wanna take a break from fighting and wanna learn how to upgrade? Head over to the Shopping Plaza through the big elevator looking thing in the center! Then follow Jan's client orders! (Don't forget you can press N to find out where he is!)
In between missions do whatever Urgent Quests pop up and maybe stop by and watch a Hatsune Miku concert when she's doing one
Finally want to become a Meseta baron? Make sure your doing the weekly Arks Missions. They give up to 2m a week per character! Do gathering quests given by Yerkes that also reset weekly! They give 100k per order and can be done on each character! Be sure to also grab the high paying daily client orders from Fina. They can pay out 100k Mesetas! Also make sure you're doing daily client orders to keep your 50% boost! It goes down each day you don't do a daily order but is replenished by each quest you do.

Anyone more experienced feel free to correct this as needed!!

i would also highly recommend doing Jan�s quests because they�re all tutorial things like explaining how to improve your weapons or what those little status bonuses on your weapons are and how to transfer them.

he�s an old dude in the shopping area, near the concert area/stage.

pressing N to bring up a area map to find a specific npc is super helpful.

It's not that hard to do but it's easy to do it the wrong way, and very hard to undo mistakes.

Basically you almost always want the mag to be trained to 200 of one particular stat, but the items for training Melee and Tech attack also give some exp in dex, so you have to know how to decrease dex exp before it gets high enough to get an actual level in dexterity instead of the stat you want.

lol I just found out on my own that there's a photon art that lets the Bouncer dash through the air at mach speed and do teleport kicks like Goku. I can traverse the map apparently twice as fast as everyone else now.

Jetboots have super cheap cost PAs too, so you can zoom , cancel the kick with a dash and fly for half the map without touching the ground.

That's my first PA, then I combo into the left and right kicks for amazing crowd control, build up gear, then finish with the explosive kick one. On a weak point at Level 48ish that thing hits for 50k!
