The best thing about Steve C was that he refused to get Opie and Anthony their own domain and just insisted everyone go to his stupid band’s website where he’d watermark all O&A stuff with Foundry Music cogs and poo poo. Then again those two were idiots for just going with it 20 some years. Probably would have been a solid monitoring scam if he hadn’t killed himself.

FoundryMusic was ridiculous. He was trying to turn into some sort of EbaumsWorld your one stop shop for FUNNY STUFF on the internet, but it was also the official O&A website, and also a porn site, and the layout was impossible to navigate and there were porn ads everywhere so you felt like a creep browsing it.

Steve did a fine job with Foundry for the most part, but he was also pretty incompetent. He ran a media-based website at a time where that was really hard to do... but he never thought about registering a second domain? Maybe not even for O&A specifically. But foundrymusic.com? That's the type of site where if you heard about it word-of-mouth people would have to spell it, and the name means nothing other than the fact that he already had it registered for his band.

He mentioned talking with 2 other comedians about their health issues and he stopped sugar like they did. My guess is they were all pre-diabetic and something that happened to one of the other comics pushed him to drop all sugar.

Becoming a grandpa may have something to do with it too; it seems like it can give a lot of older guys who may have stopped caring a new lease on life—my dad was a big fat guy my entire life but he lost a ton of weight after my son was born.
