I put a shirt on the back of my chair; but that is mostly to keep the fake leather stuff from flaking off everywhere.

But as time went on he's written to get broken down by Michael (as well as the Corporate mess) and then on top of that his personal life was played for depressing laughs. Jerry on Parks and Rec seems like a course correction on that by making his penis the largest anyone has ever seen so that in turn Schur could write the entire office to be an unreasonable dick to him.

Fixed that for you.

Jesus Christ, so not only has 13 Reasons Why had scenes of suicide and sexual violence, but in this season there's an episode in which the high school goes on active shooter lockdown and there's cops shooting blanks to simulate gunfire to scare the kids and a girl calling her mom for what she thinks is the last time because she thinks she's going to die and this is all too much.

It's like this show is about showing the worst possible high school experience you can have over and over and over again.

It's a rule that high school shows cannot survive the jump to college. It's why Friday Night Lights dumped the old cast and got Michael B Jordan to replace them.

Season 3 is good in general imho, though the back half less so. It's just not as good as seasons 1 or 2 and feels off due to not having one arc for the whole season and instead breaking it into two halves. It's still better than most other things that were on network TV at the time tho.

I read that Rob Thomas wanted Cassidy to be the villain for season 2 since he was introduced but his turn into sociopathic criminal mastermind was out of nowhere for me. And then he's casually building bombs and blowing up an airplane and it turns out he did rape Veronica? Then Duncan puts a hit on Logan's dad? Insane.

Please help us out! My wife and I need a new show to obsessively binge-watch together. We recently finished Travelers and Happy Endings, and we're having a harder and harder time finding something fun that we both like.

Shows we watched all the way through together, that one or both of us liked:

Comedies:
Arrested Development
30 Rock
The Good Place
Happy Endings
Childrens Hospital
Black Monday
Atlanta
Master of None
Louie (at the time, okay?)
How I Met Your Mother
Wet Hot American Summer
Party Down
Shrill
Dollface
Upload

Dramas:
The Wire
Deadwood
Game of Thrones
True Detective
Twin Peaks
Better Call Saul
Veronica Mars
Jessica Jones
Luke Cage
Agent Carter
Terriers
Justified
The Americans
Banshee
Star Trek: Discovery
Person of Interest
Prison Break
Fringe
Travelers
Westworld (we didn't like Season 2 and never saw 3)
Mob City
iZombie
Big Little Lies
Sharp Objects
Killing Eve
Little Fires Everywhere
Hollywood
Snowpiercer
The Sinner

Shows we mutually gave up on:
Riverdale
In the Dark
Mr. Robot (after Season 2)
Wynonna Earp
Orphan Black
Homeland
Broad City
Search Party
You're the Worst

Shows she couldn't get into, but I watched and liked:
Parks & Recreation
Venture Bros.
Joe Pera Talks To You
Stella
Hannibal
Breaking Bad
Fargo
Watchmen
Daredevil
Punisher
Rome
The Alienist
Wu-Tang: An American Saga
CW DC superhero shows (the only one I still watch is Legends of Tomorrow)
Counterpart (not far into it yet)
Legion (never watched the last season)

And I know she watches things I don't, like The Bold Type, Law & Order SVU, Orange Is the New Black, Ryan Murphy shows, and some reality shows.

And I'm sure I'm forgetting plenty of others. We have basic cable (no premium channels at the moment), Netflix, Amazon Prime, Hulu, and Tubi. I'll probably resubscribe to Showtime in August to catch the end of Black Monday, get Disney+ temporarily for Hamilton and The Mandalorian, and eventually try HBO Max, but we don't have any of those now and aren't in any hurry.
