The claim that MN was unable and unwilling to invest in public programs so instead had to rely on "comparatively cheap" measures like police and prisons is hilariously wrong and dumb and no one researched that before writing it. This is from their 2019 budget, minus the bit at the top just quoting the dsa essay.  Imagine if even a fraction of that budget went toward housing and wellness programs edit: The budget also projects an increase in funding for those departments that are comparatively cheap.

It's not an exact science but it's not Facebook tier only a genius can get this right.
