The current Brainy is Brainiac 5. We could theoretically have one of his ancestors, Brainiac 2 or Brainiac 3.

Yes, but the others mentioned all think they are actors, plus they have been in multiple movies and tv shows.

Given that Ray invoked a Mr. Rogers-like character, it'd only be fitting for them to later invoke a character from a the same generation: Bob Ross. Alternatively Bill Nye I guess.

It is really wild to go back and check out old episodes, even into season 2 and hamming it up they still had some plot beats that look pretty hilarious now, Sarah’s utter shock and horror that Stein accidentally changed the timeline by having a kid being the latest hit.

So the air totem is a weapon containing the crystallized consciousness of its user from an erased timeline. I am amazed at how batshit that is, but also a bit amazed that I've already seen it done before on Adventure Time. Given how that turned out, I'm wondering what would be the DC analogue for the grass sword? Like, if Swamp Thing pokes it too hard or something.

Nope, Earth-X was in November 2017. That spike in October is probably the season premieres.

Sloth Life posted:I think season one was legit good. At the least, it had a clear(er) sense of tone and style; it was essentially a TV budget version of the Sam Raimi Spider-Man movies. But yeah, also a season-arc that was pretty rewarding. Then they had to push through a new season every year, with a huge episode count each time, and it fell into the same traps as every CW show (artificially creating/prolonging character drama based on miscommunication, re-using the same dramatic beats over and over, heightening the stakes by dumbing down the heroes' actions and abilities.) As superhero TV goes, Agents of SHIELD really figured it out by having discrete pods within seasons that are only so many episodes long. They can lock into a plot and be efficient about resolving it, because they don't need to tread water for 2/3 of a 22-episode season to push the resolution to the end.
