Yikes. I saw an exhibit at a science museum once that showed a series of pictures and tracked your pupils to show what area of the photo you were looking at, to demonstrate things like how our eyes are drawn to faces. One of the photos was of a toddler on a swing, but the photo was taken at an angle so you could see up her skirt to her underwear, or maybe diaper, it was a very young kid. The rest of her clothes were pretty dark, so your eye naturally went to the bright white patch and made you look like a horrible pervert. I like to think someone put that photo in there just for that purpose.

A couple years ago he jumped into a crowd and punched out a MAGA CHUD who was heckling him about politics. Several dozen old CHUDS in the group rage quit with posts about "WHY DOES HE HAVE TO BE POLITICAL JUST MAKE MUSIC RAGGGHHHH!" What I'm saying is CHUDS aren't very introspective about what music they listen to, look at George W fuckin' Bush using CCRs "Fortunate Son" at campaign rallies, a song that literally descrubes how evil and lovely him and his dad are. E: also I could see people interpreting RATM as fighting against the evil democrats trying to tax you, and framing their ideology that way.

The same people comparing her case and Floyd's have been saying 'white people didn't riot over that' like they've said about all the other white deaths at the hands of police, as though it makes them more civil to say or do nothing. Some of them seem to really take pride in just not standing up against injustices. Even the wikipedia page has references to a vigil held in her honour, and mentions that the ACLU argued that police body cameras should be in use. Blue Lives Matter groups counter argued that there was no reason for them to be used for those sorts of calls, basically saying 'No, we shouldn't bother to set a higher working standard in light of this unprecedented shooting death.' I'm willing to be at least partly because it was only unprecedented in terms of the elements I described. They don't need all of this 'evidence' floating around that might undermine them.

This kind of stuff shits me no end. Not Tom, but the "I used to be a fan until blah blah blah", and "You just lost a fan!" bullshit. I guarantee the kind of person that says that kind of poo poo had never heard of band/celebrity/brand before, and most likely doesn't even know what 'Political BS' they are supposed to be outraged at. Just that somebody on their side of the them/us line of politics said that X celebrity said something naughty, so they are supposed to hate them now. It also happens on the left, when you hear that someone you like has been milkshake ducked. But I have found that left leaning folks will go "Oh, we are supposed to hate X celebrity now? Why? What happened? What did they do?" Wheras the right leaning folks won't ask those questions, and will just go "I heard 3rd hand X is a liberal. SO I hate them and will never buy/watch their stuff ever again, even if I haven't heard of them before!" Also, I don't know what they are trying top achieve by posting at celebrity X saying "I disagree with your politics!". What do they gain? Especially in this case. RATM are notorious for being angry, anti-establishment, anti-authority, and monstrously left wing since the very beginning. I mean, it was why a bunch of us became fans when we were angry 14 year olds. And don't try to get into a political discussion with someone with an MA in Political Science from Harvard, (as Tom Morello has.)
